DO NOT RETURN the phone under any circumstances. highlight the issue to SME and facebook samsung and say the offending telco are basically holding the customers to ransom.
certainly we've waited long enough to choose a plan for a particular phone and if that phone is now defunct and dangerous, there's no point to continue the plan. we rather keep the plan option for instead a future note 8 or similar instead.
