just update the recovery twrp, btw is yours updated from previous miui or miui eu rom? latest android MM will probably encrypt the partition, hence new recovery is needed to decrypt.

after flashing latest recovery, just flash the supersu as usual.

oh yes..thanks for reminding...now I remember android M have encrypted partition. I will do a bit more research before rooting.

Anyone have problem with the Music app after the MM update? I can't play any music stored in my SD card.

Normally, Xiaomi won't upgrade Android version for Redmi series phone. Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note still only on Android 5.0 and Android 4.4.

Try clearing the data and cache... seems to work for me after that. But need to wait for a while for it to detect the mp3 again though.

Already done flashing to CM14.1 + Radon kernel. Quite smooth as for now except that camera is lil buggy. And i think battery life not so good since i enabled double tap to wake feature. Not sure if this is the reason or cm14.1 is the cause of battery drain.

AFAIK Redmi note 3g was released on jellybean and later upgraded to kitkat.
