I'm using gold card but any advice on how to upgrade it to platinum?
I travel quite frequent so having the extra travel insurance from the platinum card will give me a peace of mind.

1) If existing M2C Plat holder,can request to apply for M2C Gold?
2) If can,the CB is separate for both Plat and Gold?

I think you can apply for gold card too if you holding Platinum, but the cash back is combine for both cards.
My gold card has no cancel immediately due to some instalment, but can request to cancel anytime since instalment can be transfer to Platinum card even the 16 digit number is not same, as long as no outstanding balance in Gold card

May I ask how did you upgrade your cards?. Did you call CS directly or re-apply the platinum version as a brand new card?

Send an email for upgrade with latest payslips.

Some banks have minimum CL to get platinum cards.

15k for a 60k PA card but 20k limit on a card with income ranging from 70k to 100k PA?

I remember helping my foreigner colleague applying credit card before, the bank requested for Company Letter to certify her annual salary and confirm her employee status. It was for Maybank then.

Not sure if this has changed.

My personal experience is no need.

FYI, this is what Maybank FB reply me when I ask about bringing credit cards to foreign countries.

Kindly be informed that there is no activation needed for credit card retail overseas transaction. For credit card usage via the overseas online website or overseas, there will be additional charge 2.25% (VISA and Mastercard) on top of the purchase while for AMEX card will be 2.5% on top of the purchase amount.

Generally, there will be a PIN usage of credit card and it is subject to the country and merchant acceptance, as an example for Australia and some European Countries, you may be required to key in your Credit card PIN number. Going to pay tax payment via 0% EzyPay Instalment plan of up to 12 months.

How about if I have the actual date to be travels (few of trips) within this year, can this be done to bank ? Anyone tried before ?

3. My annual income just lack of few hundreds to meet 60k, but if include bonus it can exceed the min. requirement for Platinum M2C. Do u think I can successfully get approved for the Platinum M2C?
