MS05 available now

ntroduction
As the size of the external storage space increases, so should the data transfer speed and the convenience that external storage provides, the MS05 from SilverStone is a versatile 2.5" external storage with an added convenience of 3.5" docking bay design. MS05 is a time saving solution to transfer/backup files between PCs and/or laptops, with its eSATA interface supported on the 3.5" docking bay unit, and the Hot Swappable design on the 2.5" external storage; you can just insert and enjoy the 3Gbps high transfer speed with your PC, and not have to wait too long for information you already have.

More info - MS05

Now, this is what i call convenience. Having both an external drive + a hard disk rack is really nice indeed. At least this looks way better than the Lian Li. Being 2.5" is an additional plus point as well with it being easily brought around. One more plus point compared to other mobile HDD rack : it has USB adapter unlike others which normally depends on IDE or eSATA cables..

Thumbs up for SS here.. thumbup.gif

Ya that HDD thingy looks a bit confusing in those pics coz it doesn't explain how the docking and all works. I will review it n show u guys how it all works. Problem is I dont have a 2.5 HDD. I need to go get 1 n then I'll show u guys how fantastic this lil thingy is.

Well, from the 3rd picture, it seems like a HDD Mobile Rack similar to the Lian Li one. The difference here that i can see is, this is a combination of both - a mobile rack & a 2.5" External HDD Enclosure. Thus, making it a perfect combination. My cousin himself have the Lian Li mobile rack which has several weakness which i spotted :

- Its eSATA device thus, needing an external sata connector in order for the hdd to work. No USB.

- Its kinda hard to bring around because its 3.5" external drive.

- Its not nice at all. The design is really bad.

All the weakness there is already fixed by this SS device which i said, very convinience and beautiful. Wonder how much would this cost and is there any black version..LOL..

What u dont see in the pix is that the rack sits in the 3.5" slot and the whole unit then plugs in n out like a USB thumbdrive. think of it as a giant thumbdrive. laugh.gif

BTW, my unit is black. thumbup.gif

Can fit a 8800 Ultra, without the HDD cage, sure it can fit anything else lo. But, I've fitted a X1950pro HIS turbo version with the HDD cage in place too. So, i guess, anything within the length of the X1950pro should b ok too.

the HD3870 can fit nicely in SG01. Using one right now. Even a HD2900xt 1GB can fit before I sold it off today.

its pointless for him to run btx

since he is cooling his proc and chipset with a rad at the top..
atx is more suited which is what he is doing...

depends on ure cooling and ure cabling...

so like for mine when i get all my stuff from metal
will be doing atx style since i am cooling my 2 GPU's and chipset with a triple rad below.
