To maximize the cashbacks, don't use Maybank FCB VS at the places that you already enjoy high rebate using other credit cards (eg Ikhwan Visa - Petronas, PB/UOB - Online/Dining, M2 Amex - Weekend etc)

smart move!

It is not a card for low-income group. I don't expect FCB VS cardholders spend very minimal every month.
They should spend on life/car/general insurance, tuition fee, government bills, car maintenance.
If really nothing much to spend, then pre-pay electricity, telekom or petrol on/by 27 May in order to get RM100 rebate on 1/6.
No need to rush to spend on the first few days of the month.
*
no rush, if you don't spend a lot in a month also, this is very good time to focus on using only this 1 card at least for this month, and later august.

other than these 2 months, you may want to diversify your spending depending on which card give better cashback depending on your spending category.

and better not swipe the card like 3-4 days before end of the month just to avoid transaction got posted on the next month

To avoid late posting... can use M2U bill payment - Telekom/TNB for immediate posting. Even top up BigPay card will be posted on the same day.
*
i will definitely use this if by any chance my card not hit 1K yet....can do la maxis, tm, tnb or astro..hehehe...but need to wait until almost end of the month la

Basically the 10% cashback in month of May for FCB VS works if we can swipe it right? Planning to settle some summons via MyEG tomorrow.

can get cb for summon?

I would suggest top up to BigPay RM1k to maximize the cash back and spend later with BigPay. Even spend within 1 year (If your card spending is really minimal) also worth it as 1k put FD 3.3% return for 1 year only tongue.gif  tongue.gif

just asking.....this Bigpay is this ->https://www.bigpayme.com/

No need. It uses the usual CC terminal with proper configuration/enabling.
Samsung Pay supports both NFC and MST.

Maybank Pay App can add other bank credit cards?
*
just maybank card la...but at least i do not need to carry around mbb visa card with me (except for amex), and cheaper alternative to buy samsung phone just to use samsungpay.

other than mbb, the rest just rely on my public cards, i do not have other card with good CB

Seems to be quite inconsistent on Maybank side. I have a transaction on 31 March but posted only in April. However, due to this, i missed the 2% cashback and lost RM50. Been trying to reach their CS...
*
you did 1 transaction of RM2500 on March 31st??

the 1 experienced was

imy transaction happened of the last day of the month, like it or not I have to consider the cashback for that transaction to be in the next month calculation.
as part of next month cashback . Meaning if that was RM1K transaction, it means for next month, i only have RM1.5k left to spend, otherwise it will exceed.

but i noticed most retail transactions posted on the same day, unless it happened at 11.59pm so high chance the post date will be the next day.

Just checked, my Barcelona cashback for last month was way below expectation. I received total RM0.53 cashback for the whole month. The two big purchases were an auto-deduction for insurance (1.5k) and a purchase from Shopee (3.6k, not using ShopeePay).

The 1% cashback is supposed to be "1% Cash Back for all purchases (except for government bodies, utilities and e-wallet reloads) all year-long; capped at maximum of RM50 per month."

Which of the exclusions possibly apply to Shopee purchase or insurance auto-deduct?
