I want to clarify whether my understanding is correct based on above post.

1. Spent RM500 at any day before 31st May to make sure get the 10% casnback posted in May => RM50
2. Spent the remaining RM500 at 31st May to make sure it posted in 1st Jun, then get the remaining 10% rebate RM50 of May also. In addition to this I also get the same transacted amount RM500 count against the Jun RM50 rebate? Means in total I just need to spend RM1000 in May and can get the total rebate RM150 (RM100 in May and RM50 in Jun)?
*
1) assuming spend rm500, yes, cashback rm50.
2) if spend remaining rm500 on 31 May but posted in June, it will utilize June's cashback quota! any spending in June, no more cashback given because you have utilized the rm50 cashback quota in advance.

the cross-month posting is to utilize June's rm50 cashback quota (in advance) by spending the LEAST amount, which is RM500 (because transacted in May = 10%, but posted in June = RM50 max cashback quota for June)

compare to, spending rm2500 in June to get RM50 cashback.

can i just reconfirm definition of utilities? Would Maxis and Unifi be applicable?

I actually have this card on pure auto debit with TNB, Maxis, Unifi, insurance etc. If applicable, it basically means my RM2.5k spend per month will be voided.
*
should be MCC 4900 - Electric, Gas, Sanitary and Water Utilities

Can I forcefully pay the amount before they charge me?
Thanks.

simplify your thinking: why would digi, medical card, insurance are considered UTILITIES?

are these providers' nature of business is utilities-services?

Bigpay and Boost are using Maybank's, same day posting till 23:xx hours, T+1 in the final XX minutes of the day.
You need to find out xx by doing some tests a few nights before 30/5. Of course some people here are solving this mystery. But it is a bit risky, what if system down/busy? You can always top up RM2500 in June; If cash-out, the cost difference is only RM4 more or less (RM2000/3000 X 6), not really a big deal.

I will spend RM500 on something else, anytime on 31/5, for T+1 or T+2. NOT Bigpay, Boost, Petronas, Shell, Shopee, M2U Bill payments, Paybillsmalaysia (SiliconNet Tech-EC), Alpro, Aeon / Aeon Wellness, Watsons, Parkson,...

Assuming spending 1k already (before 31/5)
Top up bigpay 500 at the very last 15 minutes on 31/5 and transaction posted on 1/6, is it considered that June month I will entitled rm50 cash back ?
*
yes

transacted in May, get 10% cashback rate
posted in June, utilize June cashback quota (max RM50) <-- that means you dont use the card in June temporarily as you already earned the cashback in advance.

hopefully no changes from maybank.

Btw it's the same as for Aug? Spend 1k before 31/8 and 500 on the very last minutes on 31/8 will get 100 CB for aug and 50 CB for September month
*
if no changes till Aug 2019, yes same logic

we only tested once last Aug 2018 after learning from the feedbacks from those over-spending/cross-month posting during May/Jun 2018.

Sorry guys and gals, I have been reading abt all these cross month spending but I don't understand the reason for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, for Barcelona Visa, every month there's a 2% cash back up to Rm50 except for May and August with 10% and up to RM100.

I might had missed it but is Maybank giving us ADDITIONAL cash back if we do the cross month spending? Thanks
*
NOT additional.

you earn/utilize the cashback quota IN ADVANCE in order to get the 10% rate.

look at it this way....for June or September cashback.... which one do you prefer?

a) spend rm500. get rm50 cashback? or
b) spend rm2500. get rm50 cashback?

EzyPay Plus is not eligible at all for cashback. Stated in TNC. EzyPay is eligible for cashback for the total amount charged to the card. Let's say you purchase something worth RM2500 on April 2019 by EzyPay using Maybank FCB Card for 12 month installment. You will get full cashback for April 2019. But the installment amount for subsequent months (May, June, July........), not entitled for cashback

QUOTE(putra23 @ May 25 2019, 10:52 PM)
If this month I pay using FCB Visa and enrolled in the EzyPay 0% interest plan, will I still be entitled for the 10% cashback?

Anyone tried before?
