Is the cashback mechanism for transaction and posting date changed or Maybank card centre CS give wrong info?
For instance, transaction performed on 30-Nov, posted on 1-Dec, it should be in December's cashback pool right? Was told by card centre CS, cashback pool based on transaction date not by posting date, therefore, if spend RM2500 on 30-Nov and posted on 1-Dec, it will still use November's cashback pool. But I supposed the cashback is credited on first of every month right? When asked to confirm with CS again, he said for the case the cashback for November and December will credit on 1-Jan-2019.
I read here it is not work that way, I really dunno whether can trust what he said is true or not.

the cb behavior have been tried and tested by many of us here.
CS, probably following script/illustration in simplified manner. i doubt they know the actual cb behavior that is run from their billing system.
so far, there's no reports from us here whereby the cb is different than expected (our understanding).
only way is to get their product manager or technical billing team to explain the actual mechanic because they would have designed and tested it with variety of cb permutations...

if transaction on 31 Aug but posted on 1 Sep, cashback is 10% (transaction date in Aug) but the max cb limit is RM50 (posting date in Sep)
so, lowest spend amount to gain RM50 max cb (in Sep) is RM500 based on 10% transacted in Aug.
compared this to RM2,500 spending @ 2% to get RM50 max cb in Sep alone.
Best Combination to Maximize Cashback % and Cap (Oct 2017 - Aug 2018)| Transaction | Posting | Cashback % | Cashback Cap | (Best) Max Spend |
| Apr/Jul | Apr/Jul | 2% (Apr/Jul) | RM50 (Apr/Jul) | RM2,500 |
| Apr/Jul | May/Aug | 2% (Apr/Jul) | RM100 (May/Aug) | RM5,000 |
| May/Aug | May/Aug | 10% (May/Aug) | RM100 (May/Aug) | RM1,000 |
| May/Aug | Jun/Sep | 10% (May/Aug) | RM50 (Jun/Sep) | RM500 |
| Jun/Sep | Jun/Sep | 2% (Jun/Sep) | RM50 (Jun/Sep) | RM2,500 |
