Alipay Hangzhou have a few channels for card payment. It is strange Alipay has one with Groceries MCC. Not always you will be directed to this channel.

Hi, just wondering if I should accept this card since I suddenly received an approved MBB VS card for no reason (never applied nor give my details to anyone). It even appeared on my MB2U under my card list although its just waiting for me to 'activate' it.

Weird thing is, the card has HALF the credit limit of my gold cards ?_?. I did a quick read on the 'benefits' and other than an utterly ridiculous RM550 annual fee I dont see anything worthwhile to activate... ; Perhaps other LYN members have a better understanding on this?

I got my VS in Oct 2016 and my MBB cards' anniversary is in April, nothing was charged in Oct 2017 and I already expected it will charge in April which they did.

I did call CS before and I was told will be charged in Oct 2017 but nothing happened..

since FCB VS is a VISA card, if u have anything planned on non-cb spend in May/Aug, then swipe with FCB VS first.

near end of May/Aug, if got balance/unutilized, reload the remaining spending quota to BigPay card instead.
my thinking is, if u reload rm1k immediately on 1 May/1 Aug into BigPay, anything that you planned to swipe but somehow BigPay got rejected by the terminal/merchant, you're stucked with the BigPay credit that cannot be utilized (as per planned)

of course you can still swipe it for other stuffs later.
so, dont need to rush reloading BigPay.

I was charged annual fee as I did not hit 30k spending. Unfortunately, I made some transactions after that. May I know if the annual fee will be prorated if I cancel the card now.. less than 1 month after the annual fee was charged?

I got my card and activated in July. May I know is your anniversary month for the year is in July or August? The CS told me I have to spend 30K before May cause June next year will charge Annual Fees. I wonder what is the meaning of Free 1st year annual fees?

AF is charged advanced for proceeding 12 months, ie charge first before use

year 1 is AF-free, because you didnt get charged with AF when gotten the card, right?

end of year 1, you'll get charged for Year 2 for the following 12 months.

wanna guess which one (tnb/unifi/astro) is under UTILITIES as specified by Maybank?

i don't understand why are people so naive, just try a small amount and see if the cash back is given on 2nd of the following month
