QUOTE(Jasilu90 @ Jun 11 2024, 10:44 PM) HLB will be a major announcement on July 8th. It may be to announce Apple pay QUOTE(BYJK @ Jun 16 2024, 11:11 AM) Curious if this is speculation on your part, or have you heard something? I know HLB was saying coming soon for awhile but I haven’t seen any indication it will be announced this coming HLB Connect Day. Not me speculating. Jasilu90 was the one. I only pointed out that period is usually for HLB’s Connect Day.

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Jun 16 2024, 05:17 PM) Frankly speaking, they got so many contest but I never saw winner list or anyone won awards. Anyone got idea? I won before during the good old Digital Days and some contests in between. These days I hardly follow anymore but yeah I won more than RM 800 in the 2019 Digital Day I think. In overall, I got more than RM 1k from HLB. They published the winners list though.

QUOTE(Jasilu90 @ Jun 18 2024, 03:43 PM) Sorry for the misunderstanding. I said that Apple Pay might be announced on that day. Because I saw the post saying that something big will happen in July. But judging from the post in previous years, it's just a digital day. Nah, it is OK. Nothing to be sorry about. Who knows right? Anything can happen.

QUOTE(darren_yuri @ Nov 1 2024, 02:28 PM) I tried. But the card I want to add "UOB" does not support Apple Pay at all. When will UOB MY actually realised that Apple Pay is useful for consumers. Tell that to HLB, CIMB and PBB too.

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Nov 1 2024, 03:58 PM) the easier part is just applied those already available. to use applepay need to do integration and pay extra fees. Yes, I already have those banks anyway but I don't add all in because no point using some of them for contactless.

QUOTE(Icehart @ Apr 16 2025, 05:15 PM) If can support public transportation system similar to Suica card in Japan would be damn great. Just create a virtual TnG card and reload it as needed. Yes, Suica is so good. I like it a lot when I used it in Japan, just tapped it with my Apple Watch.

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ May 4 2025, 01:57 PM) Hi there! I’m having a bit of trouble adding my Maybank credit card to Apple Pay. I’m not sure if this is a my card issue or if there’s something wrong with Maybank. Would anyone mind taking a look? Just call CS. In fact, just a few of days ago, one of my credit cards has just been replaced with a new one as the previous has expired. I cannot get it added and called CS to manually verify for me. All is OK and Apple Watch is also OK.

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ May 4 2025, 08:40 PM) Not sure. So far my M2Card Plat Visa and Mercedes card cannot bind. Last was my iPhone 15 Pro Max that sold like Sep 2024 That’s strange. I have the Merc card, Ikhwan AmEx Plat and M2Card AmEx Plat tied to my Apple Pay.

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ May 4 2025, 10:25 PM) My M2Card AMEX Plat and VI MU tied to my apple pay. But today tried to add Mercedes cannot. And M2Card Visa Plat cannot as well. Maybe just a glitch. Yeah, in the past I also had the AmEx Reserve and MU VI tied before with no issue. However, I noticed for my case I usually may need MBB CS’ support to manually verify for me for some cards. So far their service is prompt so I don’t complain.

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ May 4 2025, 11:50 PM) Might be my card was previously bound with iPhone 15 Pro Max. Maybe they have limits on how many devices can be bound due to whatever their security reasons are. Let’s see if after 48 hours they can add the card or not. I had similar cards tied to the Apple Pay in 12 Pro Max in addition to my 16 Pro Max. Though my 12PM was stolen now but it was never an issue for me to use on different devices in the past. Let’s see after 48H.

I managed to add a China T-Union transport card to my Apple Wallet via Alipay and used it in China. Then, I linked it to my Apple Watch. It is so convenient to tap it using my AW on the metro and bus, it is easier than scanning in and out with the Alipay QR.
It was almost the same experience as using the Suica card on AW in Japan. The only difference is that I can reload Suica directly using AW, but as a foreigner, I will need to use Alipay to reload this T-Union card. Still, it's an easy process.

QUOTE(Icehart @ May 23 2025, 12:37 AM) I still find QR link to my TnG card easier, no need reload. Just scan all the way. Best is I also get the most favourable exchange rate between CNY - MYR. Yours should be the Changan NFC交通卡? Yeah but I lazy to scan. Moreover, I prefer to use Alipay to TnG. I have a China colleague who works in Malaysia and she will transfer RMB to my Alipay while I pay her back using MYR. Big amount of spending I will use cards directly. That’s right, it’s the Changan Card. I have tried several cities’ cards and only this works, others will require Chinese ID or Chinese bank account.

QUOTE(Icehart @ Jul 22 2025, 07:40 PM) I was in China last month and tried using the Jin Hua card. That T-Union card auto reloads and auto charge the fee to my wise card. Quite good. Maybe you can try. Nice but what is a Jin Hua card? I'm using Xiamen T-Union card now as it doesn't require deposit and also linked to my AW. QUOTE(shockk @ Sep 1 2025, 12:53 PM) seriously? I thought Apple Pay is just like a wallet terminal, and the card is supposed to simulate the card-swipe using the card on its own? Apparently HSBC separates it this way, other cards/banks don't differentiate them.
