Ask issuer, my apple pay works well here.

This is true, i’ve been using apple pay extensively since last December. Apple pay will work as long as the terminal has the ‘wave’ capability. Only a few merchants refuse to accept apple pay even though their terminals support it.

I know you guys here are anxious about apple pay i can feel it from the way you write and ask questions, some had even PMed me 🤣. But rest assured the launch is imminent.
If it somehow failed to materialize, i would never update you all again in this thread.

Just chiming in that, Apple Pay is indeed operational within Malaysian-based Financial Institution(s). I am currently enjoying the experience on both my iPhone and Apple Watch devices.

I just tried Tiger, PBB, Citi, HSBC, Affin and Hong Leong. Not supported yet.

Even my SG Tiger debit card didn’t work.

How are you guys actually using apple pay in Malaysia? I cant even add a card

Apologies, I won’t be able to answer to all (and also deliberately trying to hold back some key information).

To summarise:
1) Apple Pay will indeed be available/supported in Malaysia via Malaysian-based Financial Institutions (FIs), in the near future i.e. soon
2) There will be a mix of local and foreign FIs
3) In order for your plastic(s) to work, it has to be pre-registered and pre-authorised prior.

I don’t know why are u guys so sure about Apple Pay coming so soon to Malaysia I have been looking for a firm Evidence but I could not see nothing but a screenshot of Message that no one knows Whether it’s fake or not

Quick update guys, I can say with reasonable certainty that the Apple Pay will be launched in Malaysia in less than two weeks' time.

By the 10th we hope hahahaha 

Haha that make sense…anyways, I’ll keep reading the thread to see if anyone of you gets your prediction right. So far what i can say is the folks here at lowyat forum are good hahaha.

Next week, all these laborious works of having to use wise or procuring foreign issued credit cards just to use the apple pay will be a thing of the past.....ooooopps, did i say next week? 🤫
