one thing for sure the price for 5200 AMD has already been slashed by RM200-RM250 if i am not mistaken. its now RM600. It was <>RM900 a while ago wink.gif

If quad core cheap, wan to buy also need to change mobo la...
unless u're using gigabyte DQ6 la or the asus Commando lol...

no need to change mobo, almost all current mobo can support c2q, maybe need to update bios for stabality...

huh quad core no need to change mobo ? then wad's the point DQ6 emphasize on his QUAD CORE ready leh?

in DQ6 everythings are quad, bios, heatsink, and bla... including quad core... it the way to atract buyer to buy the mobo when it enter the market at the first, "FISRT MOBO SUPPORT QUAD CORE PROCESSOR"

Great price slash but still amd procs+mobo combo is cheaper than its intel counterparts. So for those that not oc'ing and only run their system at stock speed AMD is a better choice.

Almost all 965 chipset mobo can support quad-core, not only those high-end mobo like Commando or DQ6. Gigabyte DS3, DS4, Asus P5B, Biostar Tforce 965PT, Abit AB9 also can support! laugh.gif

i think the mobo price will not going down drastically

but,price of ram nowadays quite cheap....
i just curious about the ram price....

suddenly drop although ppl tend to upgrade to 2 gig for vista

2GB RAM = better Vista is a myth. Vista have a better RAM management than XP, and as many Vista users have tested, there are no difference in speed when using 1GB or 2GB. Kinda like having two 1 litre fridge where you fill one with 60% capacity and one with 20% capacity. Waste of space or in this case resources
