Sry guys. There is a reason for the delay in updates as I promised the other day. The wait will be worth it though as everything will appear clearer n sharper.

Patience guys. The wait is alwiz worthy. Uncle Ian alwiz delivers as promised, despite the delays.

Spent the whole day shopping today. Couldn't decide on which 1 to buy after shorlisting 4 brands n types of cheap cheap DSLR camera. This is what I decided on n brought home all the goodies. I will be using this camera for all worklogs n projects from now on. The old Olympus SP350 will be demoted to backup camera if I get caught without batteries for my new Sony Alpha 200. This is the reason I delayed posting pics of the CCFL switch mod coz I wanted to take the pics with the new camera. Once the battery is charged up n I've played around with the basic settings, I will post up the CCFL switch mod. I cant wait to start using it, everything will be much sharper n clearer now.

Why get Sony,get Olympus mah but not a bad choice.Faster upgrade.

That's the reason I went for DSLR as well couple months before ..

cun cun photo can be taken without too much of constrain ...

Haih, Streamyx been really slow n Photobucket acting up again. Took forever to upload the pics. Anyway, here's the mini update which was supposed to be up last night. I tried uploading last night but gave up after an hour of trying.



Here's the CCFL switch plate being cut.




















The plate is done. Those r the switches I will be using to control the CCFL.



















This is where I will be putting the CCFL switches. It's where the USB n Firewire ports are on a standard TJ07.


















Test fitting it in the slot.


















The switches haf been fitted n soldered. All done.
















Here it is, all nicely hidden by the cover. It's a very nice place to hide the switches n it's convenient too. No need to go behind n dig around for the switches anymore.

I also did this while I had the case open. I took out my Corsair Dominator fan n stripped off the blue sticker on it. Those of u who haf seen it in real life will know that the blue sticker is very crude. It's very badly made n looks horrible. It's like Corsair ran out of ideas at the last minute n just stuck on a cheap blue sticker. I figured the naked black aluminum wud look really nice so I ripped it right off.

Here it is. Doesn't it look so much nicer now? I it. It also fits my color theme a lot better coz everything in my case is in silver n black color.
