Nice work there bro, Sad n sry to hear that May ur father RIP..
BTW what the use of normal ATX swtich to BTX? any different between them? can someone explain some here... Thk u in advance.
*
Coz now gfx cards are much hotter than CPU. So it's better to have the gfx cards above the CPU.

They r the same to u coz u havent tried top of the line gfx cards in SLI. Once u try a top line rig with quad cores n SLI u will really understand the need for better cooling. Normal ATX just isn't enough.

Dremel, jigsaw, drill, flat sander, heatgun, work bench. That's about it. I use full on pro equipment but u can always start out with the rm50 tools from Tesco. They're good enuf to start off with.

Thanks sifu notworthy.gif ... between for sanding a cutted metal plate, what tool will be useful? a dremel alone can do all (cutting and sanding)?

So, in order to flip the motherboard-tray... you only have to take 3 rivets out, drill holes on the other side, and just flip it? is that all?? sounds pretty simple to me. smile.gif

How about cutting a window in the side panel, do you have any special recommendations to avoid damaging the material/finish??

user posted image

how do you operate the dvd drive??

below the dvd drive, is that a 3 1/2 bay? do you see any problem installing a 3 1/2 bay multi-Card Reader?

user posted image

where did you find the brush aluminum to do the front custom panel?

now that you have had both (the black Tj07 and the silver one) which one did you like the most? I see a lot of black one online, so I'm thinking of getting a silver one

Final question

Not that it matters... but, who came first? (the chicken or the egg) Both builds have many things in common

1. Flipping it sounds simple until u try it. Ur hands will start shaking at the thought of drilling a rm1300 case. It also requires precision work to remount the mobo tray accurately

2. Standard practice of using masking tape, then cut.

3. Just press the alu panel where the button is. Alternatively u can just right click the drive Icon n select "Eject"

4. 3.5 bay is untouched, u can put anything u wish in there.

5. Brushed aluminum comes from Lian Li side panels I bought.

6. I did my mod waaaaaaaaaaaaay before Murdermods. Looks like they ripped my ideas big time. Actually quite a few companies ripped my idea for the front panel. Scan UK did it with perforated panel and stealth DVD too.

I think I'm going to be more worried about cutting the side panel... but we will see

BTW how did you attached the plexiglass to the side panel? (double side tape?)

I was aware of the eject function inside the OS... but I didn't though about pressing the side panel tongue.gif

That's a pretty good idea, I was thinking on using the the material taken from the window cut / side panel... but I was worried it will not be enough (also no room for mistakes)

lol... take it as a complement!

I did a quick search in google image for "Scan UK" but couldn't find it

thanks a lot!

oh wait, you forgot to answer one question biggrin.gif
Base on your own opinion / personal preference... which case looks better: the black one or the silver one?

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,  look what I got for Valentine's Day.  rclxm9.gif  It's a gift from my wife so that I will haf a perfect King Kong II Workstation. It's what I call the Matrix chair. The actual model I got is called the Ergo Human EH. It's so looooooooooooooovely.  wub.gif  wub.gif  wub.gif  This completes my dream workstation. Totally 1337 monitors, chair, PC, blinged up TJ07 case. Perfect, just absolutely perfect. Once I complete the TJ07 build, I will take a pic of the whole revamped King Kong II Workstation.
Here's sum pix of the chair.
Fantastic chair next to my fantastic case.  laugh.gif
