I am hoping if someone don't mind to share their itinerary with me so I can revise based on our plan and start looking at hotels to stay.
Thanks

Hi guys, I and my friend will be visiting HK next year Mid-April for 7D6N trip. We plan to cover 1 to 2 days in Macau. We are both working professional and looking more on leisure trip. So far no exact plan yet but have some common tourist spots we have in mind. Have not book hotel (I checked via Agoda, hotels are very expensive even book now about 5 months in advance).
I am hoping if someone don't mind to share their itinerary with me so I can revise based on our plan and start looking at hotels to stay. Thanks |

Hi guys, we will be visiting HK for 7D6N including one night in Macau. We have bought most of the attractions/entrance tickets, hotels and ferry paid. We plan to change about RM3k to HKD and just wondering if it is enough for 2pax? Mainly to foods, junks, MTR and other transport around etc.

QUOTE(GI Jie @ Mar 27 2017, 01:20 PM) For me, it is way insufficient cos food in HK is not cheap. It is even worse in Macau. Eateries accepts cash and you can load up your Octupus card as it is also widely accepted and only larger restaurants accept CC. I think you'll need something like HKD8K cash minimum for 2pax for a 7D6N visit. The cab fare alone from the airport to Mongkok is about HKD230. Ya, I asked my sister and friends that normal meal for 2pax is around RM70 to RM100 per meal, so gonna eat reasonable meal not much fancy meal. We will be taking bus from airport to hotel, HKD33/pax. Our trip budget is moderate so can't be spending on expensive foods and shopping. I will bring some USD with me (my travel habit since I usually go backpacking). Thanks for sharing.QUOTE(inachi @ Mar 29 2017, 11:33 AM) Just went solo trip few weeks ago..This is how much i spend. Thanks for sharing, your expense is about the same as ours, most of our tickets e.g. attractions and ferry bought online to save time from queue there..Accomodation - RM1.4K Flight - RM600 I spend RM1.5k for the rest, include ferry to Macau..but to be safe, u better bring more la.. QUOTE(jackal75 @ Mar 30 2017, 06:09 PM) Hi there, I just back from Macau + HK trip 6d5n last 2 weeks back (2 persons). Basically it depend on what kind of food/restaurant in your hunting list. I see, thanks for sharing. We have not plan much on foods yet but covered most attractions that we plan to do.. Seems like I will change slightly more maybe.. I still spend up almost RM3k just on food and Octopus card(very convenient for transportation and paying at shop) by minimizing on budget restaurant and cheap snack. so, i would advise you to get your ATM ready to be able to withdraw money there. QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Mar 30 2017, 06:19 PM) If you don't mind, you can get 2 Airport Travel Pass @ HKD250 each. Each consist of 1 airport ride and unlimited train rides for 3 consecutive days. That way you can save the hassle from top-up your Octopus card for MTR. The 1 airport ride and unlimited train rides for 3 days sounds like good deal! Will check that out, thanks! But you can still get Octopus card if you want to take bus or Ding Ding tram. |

Hi all,
As planned, we went HK last month (Mid April) for 7D6N (including 1 night in Macau). Everything is faster in HK and space is very very limited. Lucky us that our room size is acceptable in HK, which is different in Macau where our room is worth every penny. Breakfast served by hotel in HK, hence we did not went out to hunt breakfast (I know HK famous with breakfast but at the same time we try to minimize our spending as well). Food wise, their taste is almost same as in KL or Penang in MY (Strong taste, not so bland). Food pricing is very expensive, one decent meal for two is about RM100 and can go up to 200 (For decent meal). MTR is the best railway management I have seen, comes every 1-2 mins and easily accessible to most places. Budget for two pax is about 8k inclusive everything, mainly on hotels (approx. 2.5k), flight, ferry, attractions (Disneyland, Mdm Tussauds, Peak tram, and of course MTR and foods!). This also includes some souvenirs we bought from Koi Kei etc, approx. 400. |
