I think you better stick to HK & Macau. You can travel to GuangZhou and spend 5 days there on your next trip, no need to rush everything.
If you intend to visit china, you need to get China Visa at service center located at Level 5, Hampshire Place Office, Jalan Mayang Sari, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (near KLCC)
https://www.visaforchina.org/KUL_EN/Regular service: The processing time is usually 4 working days: Rm104.20 (single entry)
Walkthrough guide on how to get your China Visa done:
http://www.tommyooi.com/apply-china-visa-malaysian/It's a bit rush but kinda doable. HK > Macau > Shenzhen > Guangzhou > HK again for airport. I've already bought the return ticket and the airport is in HK
Seems like too many days to spend at HK and Macau (14 days)...therefore the idea of going to Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
