hey all, just want to warn you all about using the pocket wifi from travel recommends for your south korea trip.

i rented 3 units and i really faced many issues in getting a connection. i have to factory reset it daily for few hours, and the connection doesn't last long before i am forced to factory reset it again.

even their whatsapp support group can't help anything other than asking me to factory reset, and eventually their replies became slower and practically non existent.

of course, other people might not face the same problem as me, but i rent 3 units and all 3 had issues, so it's up to you if you want to rent it.

Just wondering, is this a Malaysian company/Korean company? Never seen that on the list of pocket wifi I got. I've rented Olleh from Incheon airport (I think). I was actually tempted to use my UK sim but my card doesn't cover Korea.
*
Travel Recommend is a malaysia based company.

Hi guys... would like some advise from u guys.. I'm planning to travel to SK on 14-21 Oct, and am currently looking at flights..

Besides Skyscanner, are there any other tracking sites or similar services I can use, what airlines are recommended?
*
momondo, traveloka, expedia, kayak, google flights.

depends on your budget la. if u have budget then go for full service flight like MAS, Korean air. currently only both service direct KL to Seoul route.

if no budget, AirAsia it is.

Entrance fees with Seoul pass:
Seoul tower
Palaces
Grevin museum
Trick eye museum
National museum
Free 1 way arex
Free Seoul city tour bus
Free hanbok rental
Sauna

I've calculated the entrance fees above, can save more with Seoul pass. Or is there cheaper discounts?
*

Thanks a lot bro. Ive just done it and got my survey code  thumbup.gif

May i know is it possible for me to go to them later in the afternoon? Or do i need to wait several days before i can hand collect it?? BTW, im travelling with my gf, is the passport/IC of myself alone is sufficient in the redemption process?

Furthermore, can she also do the survey and collect her Discount coupon, using the same flight itinerary??
*
yes u can..actually that time i also collect for me and my friend using the same flight itinerary.

but that time when i wanna collect, they said they run out of the AREX ticket, which is the thing we want the most..lol..so its pretty disappointing..

and ended up we forget to bring the booklet to korea doh.gif

*
u can try to go gangnam. there're lots of clubs there..erm u can try Club Octagon or Club Answer. that time i went Club Answer.

Erm, yeah. there're two lanes, one is for local another one for tourist. for tourist they will need to do passport check.

but no big problem overall..but just take note that the korean guys there really know how to party.
