QUOTE(sacwoc @ Nov 8 2016, 09:52 AM)
No one can predict if it will impact tokyo. They cannot even predict if it rains next week, how can you predict snow fall next month? All I know is that winter comes early this year.
*
QUOTE(RegentCid @ Nov 8 2016, 09:58 AM)
Wait China (Urumqi & Harbin) & Mongolia start snow fall first. Next will be Seoul.
If this 3 places already snowing, next will be Japan.

I stay at Japan so many years....I always take this 3 city as my snow fall forecast.  biggrin.gif
*
since regentcid once say tokyo is a disaster if snow
thn hopefully it only snowed only at night if it really snowed
but hope everything will go smooth....

QUOTE(applezhai @ Nov 18 2016, 11:22 AM)
Hey Guys will be going to Japan next year. My schedule as follows :

March 28-30 Osaka
March 30 - April 1 Kyoto
April 1 - 4 Tokyo

We have pretty much paid for air tickets, and accommodation.

So I was wondering during the trip whether 55,000 yen cash is suffice to cover daily expenses such as transportation, food, mobile wifi. If there is any big purchases, I probably will cover it using credit card. But in the meantime, would you say 55,000 yen is sufficient to cover daily expenses as mentioned above.

Thanks guys appreciate all the help I can get smile.gif
*
55K yen each day or for the whole period?

QUOTE(applezhai @ Nov 18 2016, 11:25 AM)
My Japanese isn't that good but I think the gist of it is 'please order more than 1 Onigiri/ 1 Sushi '
*
this is the result i got if i use google translate
"-grip 1 consistently, we accept your order from a single scroll. "

Whole week, I supposed. I am still not sure about how much to bring, but since accommodation and tickets has been paid for, would that be enough?
*
55k for whole week?
how abt a NO...try to increase it
you're there to enjoy, bring a little more
and since u say it include transportation, better include the JR shinkansen ride from osaka to tokyo
its very expensive

QUOTE(applezhai @ Nov 18 2016, 11:43 AM)
No I actually study Japanese myself, it should mean ' We accept orders of above 1 Sushi / 1 Onigiri'

握り1貫 - 握り is grip as in 'handgrip' and read as 'nigiri'. But add a 'O' at the front it becomes Onigiri which is the food. 1貫 is the counter for 'sushi/onigiri'.

巻物1本 - 巻物 (makimono) stands for scroll but is another variant for sushi. 1本 is the counter for makimono.

and also ご注文 is order , 承ります is 'to receive/undertake'

So compile that together, ' We accept orders of above 1 Sushi / 1 Onigiri'

But yeah Google translate 'grip 1 consistently, we accept your order from a single scroll' = LEL
*
Thanks
mean each order/refill must be in the form of at least 1 sushi/1 onigiri?
because its a all u can eat style

OIC. Alright, definitely increase-able, My initial budget was 90k yen anyways, just wanna gauge how much is actually needed.

Can you give me the link to the website? Sometimes it's easier to translate when I actually see the website's content itself, Japanese may have a lot of double meanings in a lot of situation.
*
www.sushinomidori.co.jp/honkan.html
scroll down

u need to do more on the shinkansen ride, it cost more than 8.5k
