Is it fair to customers? certain people got different price
*
Not fair at all! Some even got offered RM169 with voice plan! Those who want to apply at RM179 you can wait until 1 November. TM told me the price is back to RM179 for a period of time. For the package details, I'm not quite sure but it should be all the same but without voice plan (RM20). If the promo in November is better than the package I just applied for then I would file a complaint.

yuh, is really unfair for me to pay RM199 just install for few days, and now they offer RM179, and didn't allow me to change the package.
*
When did you apply for this package? But if you need the voice plan then it shouldn't matter since you would have to add RM20. How did you contact TM to change the package?

Last week installed unifi30, I called 100, messaged their fb page, ask some agents. All said can't change.
*
If you don't need the RM20 Free Call Plan then you can try to make a complaint to CFM or MCMC. Explain to them about your situation and that it is not fair. Last year before the early bird promo (RM179) started, many people had already applied at RM199. They complained to CFM and MCMC and TM reduced the price to RM179 for them. You can try it, it may work smile.gif

Ok, I will give it a try soon

Yeah. You can make those complaints on their website. Very convenient. That's how I got TM to install new ports at my area.

Yea installed already. I was a VIP5 customer before upgrading to 30mbps

Some said that the RM179 promo is only available to new UniFi customers but I'm not very sure. You could try complaining to CFM or MCMC online.

hi all, for about RM450 what is the best aftermarket router to get so I can replace the stock one? I think most importantly has to be range because I've gone through 2-3 routers and all cannot reach certain areas of the house.
*
You can get yourself a wifi extender and place it somewhere in the middle of the house.

useless, not worth the speed decrease. I've tested before, I'll need 2-3 extenders to reach one of the places of the house. I'd rather have a powerful router, put in middle of the house, and forget about it
*
You may try TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750. I heard it has great range and strong wifi signal.

By the way, anyone knows if the third party modem/router that I'm using for my streamyx now can replace the UniFi router?

Hi, in my 1st bill got 2 section in Service Detail, Residential High Speed Internet & Residential Voice. In Residential High Speed Internet, written UniFi Advance RM169 for up coming month. Pro-rated also based on RM169. But no Hypp TV mention at all in the bill.

Is it my package is RM169 or it is because hypptv free for the 1st month?
*
Interesting. I'm not sure about this because I'm still waiting for my installation. Where did you apply the package and what price it should be?

Confusing with RM179 offer now. Some said got free call, some said free one month unifi, all sort diff packages. How TM going to bill?

No free calls for RM179 plan. The link stated free calls which is weird but I confirmed with the agent, no free calls. For the free one month, you must apply online at TM website.

Guys, any advice on how to email them on slow internet access and rebate?
*
You can send e-mails to help@tm.com.my but TM usually ignores them. It's easier to contact them by calling 100 or live chat where they have to reply immediately.

Not mention any about freecall. Just mention Voice IDD from RM20 with desciption "Up to 1000 minutes of FREE talk time from TM fixed lines to international fixed lines and mobiles."
*
They just updated and removed the free call. 20 minutes ago it was RM179 with free call.

I applied through agent and got 1 month and my friend applied last year from the same agent also 1 month free. My friend is a foreigner and they managed to waive her the RM 500 deposit.
*
I applied through agent but don't think I'm getting one month free. I thought one month free is only for online?

I'm not too familiar with the Budget 2017, haven read it thoroughly.

So is the price drop that we see on Unifi's website a result from the Budget ? 199 -> 179 (30Mbps), 249 -> 229 (50Mbps) ?
*
Nope. I don't think so. It's only a temporary promotion. Not affected by Budget 2017.

Hmm, got a call from TM offering 50Mbps for RM179, but it feels very weird/dodgy.

First of all, I am an existing 5Mbps user, and TM already upgraded my Unifi to 10Mbps for free.

Now they are offering 50Mbps for RM179, but I have to subscribe/register as a new user.

Also, the 50Mbps will only kick in on 1st of January 2017, before that I will get only 30Mbps.

To get this offer, I also have to cancel my existing 5Mbps subscription by myself.

Offer ends today.

Is anyone getting a similar call ?
*
Is this for real!?? RM179 for 50mbps? So did you accept the offer?
