I registered mine on Monday's evening and arranged installer to come on Saturday, the same week. If it's not that I chose weekend, it could be installed by Wednesday or Thursday.

lol... I capped at 28 even new user

If it's stable 28M is not an issue. At least I don't get buffers whenever I stream any videos. Downloads are in full speed.

just wonder, is there any cap placed on unifi 50/100mbps since there is cap at 28mbps for unifi 30?
*
Never encountered any user complains here, maybe because most users are 30M users. I'm waiting for it to upgrade my speed but I think by then, many will be upgraded too and TM may cap the speed to 48M? laugh.gif

Never encounter speed up down up down ?
*
Well, it will start with 31Mbps then drops to 28Mbps eventually.

Perhaps to avoid bufferbloat issue? so far my bufferbloat test got A+ each time tested.
*
Not sure....

QUOTE(pychan @ Nov 17 2016, 09:00 AM)
I received SMS from TM for upgrade Unifi Advanced 30Mbps.
RM 179 per month, no free call,

ask me walk in to TM point

I double confirm, do i entitled the  upgrade package, she told me yes.

Then i go TM point again,  again i was once again rejected as under a different plan currently.

Lousy CS,  waste my time.
*
Which plan are you using now?

Should I get unifi 30mbps? Currently using streamyx 8mbps with price rm140 exclusive gst..got offer call to upgrade to unifi as my place got coverage..
*
Obviously. Streamyx cannot be compared with UniFi. The upload speed wins hands down.

How did you do? I tried multiple times but failed, but i go through online support instead.
Or your package is the promo RM179 with addon voice plan?
*
You cannot cancel from OCC UniFi lo... It will not allow. You will need to complain via TM first, if they don't entertain then bring it up to MCMC. After that you will be asked to walked in to the nearest TM Point and you will get RM 20 discount.

LOL. then "welcome to 48mbps club" phrase will come out. ya. hope tm will upgrade 30 to 50mbps. do you know any update on this? any reliable source?
*
Xefron's information is always reliable. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Nov 17 2016, 06:32 PM)
After 1year can cancel off Hypptv pack..so 179-30=149
Some more next year upgrade to 50MB...
*
Not possible at all. rolleyes.gif
A lot of us have used Advance packages for more than a year and we cannot get rid of it. It comes as a package. I also wish I can but the reality is we cannot. OCC UniFi doesn't allow you to do that, TM staff confirmed once you cancel your whole package will be cancelled as well.

So confirm that next year we will get 50mbps free upgrade from 30mbps?
*
Rumours say so, just wait and see. After all, you apply Internet connection to use now and not for the intention to get free upgrades. Well, if it gives then bonus for us.

I feel like 30mbps is not quite enough for today's usage, if they went through with 50mbps it will be okay. And for +RM50 would be better if it was 60mbps. Imo
*
I'm using it alone, overkill for me, already tried to use as much as possible but I'm a freak for fast speed. So the faster the better. tongue.gif
Whenever I travel to overseas I will compare their speed with ours. laugh.gif

Same as me. My UniFi will be underutilized for half a month next month due to annual leave and after CNY, 6 weeks nobody will be using as I will be travelling to India for project. sad.gif

My mum always scares me and asks me to switch off every day before I go to work, scared short circuit and burn down the house. sweat.gif Just bought Targus power outlet with surge protector, hope it will help. laugh.gif

Since when I mentioned about settings will be erased?

I think you might let your  neighbors to help you utilize the fast speed.... on 24/7
*
Nah, I will not. tongue.gif I will see how it goes, probably let it turned on so that my friends can download stuff at outside of my house. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Ahsin1987 @ Nov 18 2016, 10:24 AM)
I'm not that kind of heavy user, 30mbps to me is kinda  overkill since qI'm using for streaming video , online gaming, browsing only.
*
Well, that's the minimum package now. You can't do much. 30Mbps is the minimum. You need good ping for online gaming and all, UniFi fits it.

Yes you are not. That's why I said if want switch off then just off it. Nothing to worry. I am not shooting you on any. Don't misunderstanding.
*
I just said underutilized and my mum worried of short circuit.
Though I don't understand why you said that suddenly, it just doesn't make sense to pull in another unrelated discussion. smile.gif

Erm, is it that bad these days? I received SMS already confirmed on my relocation installation, they better come on time as I have dinner appointment. Purposely shifted to morning session and hopefully can complete by afternoon. Previous experience was quite good.
