Nope. No way.

Nintendo's whole idea for switch is so that they can focus all their development resources on one platform. Most people have a handphone for that purpose, playing those sampah phone games.

You want a real game, carry a small bag with an NS.

Hell. Last time i use 6.3 Samseng Mega semakphone. NS is only rumoured to be 6.2" screen (but with bigger bezels). But yeah. Pocket is still not possible i guess...but i think 3DS or PS VITA also not pocket friendly....so not much issue.

Soon, Man bags of NS sized will be an in thing in Japan fashion....LOL.

Which is why they say the switch is not to replace the 3DS blah-blah...wait till the NS sells like 10 million in the first year, then i will bet they will change tune. If the NS flopped, then i think they will release a handheld to replace 3DS and give up the console market altogether....which i hope will not happens.

Only 2 weeks away from the official Nintendo reveal on Jan 12.

More speculation from me, (let's see if i kena or not...lol):

With the conflicting rumours of Tegra X1 and someone claiming the Switch more powerful than expected, i bet on this:

1) It WILL be a heavily modified Tegra X1....with additional Cuda cores...X1 has 256, so this may have 384 to 512 cores. Which explain the clock speed even when docked is 7xx Mhz as rumoured compared to X1 on Nvidia shield which runs at 1Ghz. Maybe by doubling the cores and reducing the clock speed, it increases performance while minimized on heat output and battery consumption. When docked, the clock speed is about 300Mhz, with double the cores, it will raise it performance to maybe near Tegra X1 performance with 1Ghz.

2) It will be an X1...in parallel dual-chip configuration.

3) It will be a Parker SoC after all! Maybe a customized one, less powerful than full Parker but more powerful than X1....which explains Nvidia explanation of "Based on the World most powerful graphics card blah blah blah" in their website.

So there. If i am right, who will spend me KFC????

Conlanfirmed all the typical Nintendo 1st party title lor. No need to say.

But I would really like to see super Mario Galaxy 3 in 1080p....Even remastered galaxy 1 and 2 in enhanced HD graphics I also cukur.

Another latest rumour is Assassin Creed on Switch, Ps4 and Xbox one to be released same time. If the switch version can keep up , then it will be a good sign for things to come.

I don't care for mainstream games other than the fact it will keep the switch alive longer for more 1st party title. Mainstream games looks better on my PC and cheaper to boot.

But more support from Japanese companies like Square Enix is definitely welcomed. Dragon Quest!!

5th Jan 2017 NVIDIA will be at CE 2017....

Not sure if it's happening now or tomorrow.

Maybe they will leak something on the Switch's technology.

Guess i won't be buying a Switch anytime soon. I think Nintendo has pretty much screw up.

1. Launch titles are a joke. It's LESS THAN THE WIIU! I have absolutely no confidence the 3rd party support will continue in the long run.

2. Crazy expensive Joycons.

3. USB 2.0 seriously in 2017??

4. Paid Online services which is much inferior to PSN in terms of getting the games. Nintendo rent it out to you instead of just giving you free....ancient games everyone can play on emulators.

The only game i am interested in is Mario Oddysey, and that won't come anytime soon.

So i will just wait for the Holidays and if there is a price reduced bundle with Mario, then i will consider to buy one.

Looking at the current situation, i thiink this might be Nintendo's last hardware failure.

RIP. Hopefully, they can become a 3rd party developer for the PlayStation 5 by then.

Nothing is forever and set in stone.

Just having a PS5 with all the 3rd party Japanese titles + Nintendo titles=PERFECT MACHINE.

SONY and MS will forever locked in an ARM race.

But the funny thing is MS is making XBOX more redundant....not only same games like PC, now they are having some scheme you can play the same game across PC if you bought the XBOX version....

SONY still has the lion shares of Japanese 3rd parties and major Western 3rd parties.

Basically SONY and MS is not taking any risk, while Nintendo prefer to look for "Blue Ocean Strategy"...which doesn't always works...(Wii being the exception).

With the failure to court 3rd parties, i would expect they have a 100% turnaround with the Switch, unfortunately, instead of learning from that lesson, they seems to be doing worse.

I understand they have to launch now in order to avoid fighting with Xbox Scorpio during holiday seasons. But the major 3rd parties publisher are simply not showing enough support. All we have are tons of indies, which is already on Steam and almost everywhere else.

Looking at it, the direction for switch will be Nintendo + indies, with all major publisher just porting a token old game (Skyrimm, StreetFighter 2 Ultra HD....WTF!).

And what's even worst is...i would fully expect the indies on the switch will be way more expensive than other platforms (just look at the WiiU...Trine...Steam so damn cheap). Why would casual mobile gamers want to play expensive indies on the Switch? No way.

We are forced to pay for expensive new hardware just to play Nintendo's 1st party title again...when it looks like the WiiU can handle any of the Switch games (minus the Joycons). Even Mario Oddysey doesn't looks like out of reach for the WiiU.

i believe the pre-order quantities is very small only, in order to create the "sold-out" hype.

If the price goes down by 30% (including all those joycons, pro controllers and docks), then it will have a fighting chance. Until then, it won't be able to sell to the mass market, only the hardcore fans.

The storage, i am not so concerned. Most major titles comes in carts anyway (unless digital download is a lot cheaper, there's no reason not to buy physical carts). Looking at current WiiU, the digital download is just as expensive (or even more expensive than physical disc, which you can get discount from online and elsewhere), meaning no reason to download anything other than DLC or digital stores exclusive (Indie games probably). But 32GB is really pathetic. At least 64GB should be the standard.

Nah, the casual smartphone Candy crush gamer won't be bother with this. Casual gamers just wants to play for free or play dumb games. They won't be interested in Zelda or even Indie games, nor willing to pay that price. Super Mario Run proves just that. Millions of downloads, but the paying customers only a fraction.

They don't even wanna pay USD9.99. You think USD 59.99 games will sell to this demographic?

Wii was a success because the smartphone wasn't invented/popular yet then.

Need to repeat?

1. Crap launch games.
2. Expensive console.
3. Expensive games.
4. Expensive accesories.
5. Poor 3rd party support.

Instead of learning from Wii (cheap console), they managed to reverse the best from the Wii and even worse than the worst of the WiiU (even less launch titles!!!)

How can anyone be positive?? Mark my words, it will fail until they drop the price, which could be too late by then.

Then i will buy one.

The problem is:
1) It's all marketing talk by NVIDIA. Developers already pretty much said they won't support Switch or port their games over due to lack of hardware power and they won't be wasting time to do a downgrade version just to fit the switch.

2) Nintendo's IP is awesome. Selling me a piece of hardware which is only marginally more powerful than the WiiU to let me continue to play Nintendo's awesome IP is NOT AWESOME. The WiiU pretty much is good enough except that it's not portable. Why am i paying for the switch and pay even more for the Joycons again???

I pretty much have every console since the Megadrive (except Nintendo old consoles) up to the WiiU (except PS3,PS4,XBone, which i have lost interest in).

I doubt you have more consoles than me. PS2 alone i have 3 units (because it sucks and breaks easily).

The PS2 was the best console of its generation. The hardware may sick, but the games were fantastic. To be accurate only 1 PS2. Broke....The last Ps2 was a slim model to replace the previous FAT model which was still working.

Gamers also human, if you like to be keep getting screw by Nintendo , be my guest. Wii u has already proven even with their great IP, they will die f there is no 3rd party support. But I guess fanboys like you can't see logic and reasoning. Die die must plotek.

Because it's the SWITCH.
