So Ninty is joining the bandwagon of paid online service

First Xbox Live! Gold, then the PlayStation Plus

Now will be Nintendo's turn to charge for online services

but info still scarce, no idea on the pricing and the features yet

They will be giving out monthly free games, but it's NES or SNES games with online features doh.gif

but again, prepared to get screwed by Maxsoft again if buying locally

unless you wanna import it from elsewhere, since this time its region free, Jpn units seems the cheapest after direct conversion.

whats up with maxsoft? curious
*
they are the only official distributor for official ninty units in our region

so basically they control the price and the stock of Switch in this region when it's launch

you can expect the price of the official units from Maxsoft to be much higher than USD300 after direct conversion.

We have nothing to announce at this time.  lol.gif

well, they do reveal that we could have up to 8 accounts on the console, and the cart is read only

lets see, US, Jpn, UK, CAN maybe...

but seeing how small is the internal storage, and extra storage through microSDXC I doubt I'll be buying many full digital games from their e-shop
pretty sure the loading speed will be impacted compared to loading from cart & from microSDXC
DLCs,patches & save games nowadays are HUGE, very sure the vanilla 32GB storage gonna be full very fast!
and some more external HDD are not supported at launch, MAYBE in future only
and also... the USB port aren't 3.0 at launch, MAYBE update to 3.0 in future again doh.gif

and if external HDD are supported, it will be in docking mode only, doubt it can support external HDD in undock mode

you can always one usb for one game and those usb stick can be put as display when not playing  icon_idea.gif
not 3.0 can become 3.0 in future meh? buying new dock ?
*
yeah, i was puzzled at that as well, ad i thought USB 3.0 is a HW spec, update-able via firmware meh? hmm.gif
maybe it's just the back cover port is not USB 3.0 ? hmm.gif

"It turns out that the USB port inside the dock’s back cover is not actually a USB 3.0 port at the moment — Nintendo says that it “[plans] to support USB 3.0 in future updates.”"

well, congrats!! we are in the spotlight!!

http://sea.ign.com/nintendo-switch/112640/...-turns-off-many

or to be precise, GH! brows.gif rclxms.gif

anyway... a quick check on few online marketplace like gemfive, 11street & lazada, all are selling the neon version more expensive than the grey one doh.gif

I suspect this could be either Maxsh1t's pricing, or everyone else just follow what GH did in the first place.

Anyway, No way I'm gonna get it during pre-order/launch, the price is crazy, will be going overseas in June, see if I can smuggle one back without kena tax by throwing away the box cry.gif
