been driving a saga flx since 4 years ago. lately dont know why the CVT light keeps coming on. Usually happens when i go home from office. 2 days in row already but the car still working fine. Anyone experience such situation before? the CVT light will go on when I go into D or R ..then after I drive a few minutes ..the light will go off again.

Along the way back home, the CVT light will turn on and off a few times again. Kinda worried.

Got few times when i start my car, it feels like the engine not fully started. Drag a bit the engine before start. Then the RPM will shot up until 4000 or 5000 before coming back down. Engine vroom vroom like no tomolo. But that time the CVT light never turn on.

NOPE. i never use the SAT. i usually stick with the CVT. Kinda like the smoothness of the drive. The jerking feelings when your car start moving when you press the pedal, can actually be nullify while u get used to the timing and feel when u press down on your oil pedal.

most probably the TCU (transmission control unit). i dont think the signal light cause the problem. usually the 3rd brake light, or one of the brake lights will cause the cvt light to lit up (forgot on which saga thread mention about it).

Sure wor?? But i wont take any chance of failure cvt warning light appears later. Better be safe than sorry. Use laptop more accurate and safer than manual "guessing" i think, well its up to the owner then.

My Proton would experience this sometimes, but always at a mamak near my house. Whenever I go to my mamak it is very difficult to arm the alarm. But park somewhere else it's OK pulak

means switch fakkap. There was once, I sent my car to wash. The ahneh wipe interior in such enthusiasm that he pressed the SAT switch down as well. As I drove out, I feel my car jerks more than usual, see center meter console shows 'S'. Tried pressing the switch, turns out stuck. FFFFUUUUU~ Straight drive to Genting Kelang SC and have them fix it for me on the spot. lol. From that day onwards, fobia to press that button edi.

Very likely switch issue but it could also potentially mean some other problem which could be serious. SAT switch issue has been reported quite a number of times. Proton has acknowledged the issue and many owners have got their SAT button changed (cars still under warranty). Those whose warranty is over or voided would need to pay to change.

Try using a vacuum cleaner and vacuum the SAT button. Press ON and OFF during vacuum to get rid of potential dust trapped inside the button.
This would be very helpful. Anyway Proton has removed it on the new Saga. Isn't it a surprise.

yup. cvt oil & filter. i think its random. sometime it come up, sometime its fine but it will only happen in low temp. this morning heavy rain when i start my car and change to reverse gear it come up.

I notice at proton service centre, they recommend syntium 800 for 10k service interval. Engine can tahan ar?
