I played Cyberpunk since launch night on my PS4 Pro, then on my PS5. Some personal thoughts on the game:

A warning for gamers on last-gen hardware:

TL;DR - CP2077 is a drop-dead gorgeous, high-class hooker but is riddled with STDs and is a very terrible lay. Stay the F away and go back to sleep, samurai.

For those who play this game on PS5 where did u guys install it? on PS5 or external?

From what I observe is when install on PS5 the game load time is fast and the in-game asset looks great bcoz no delay or visual pop up. When I play from external hdd the game asset start popping up slowly and got delays. So maybe the issue with PS4 is bcoz of the hdd? Or anybody tried with internal/external ssd on PS4?

I think running the game off external drives will cause issues. I played at launch using an external SSD attached to a PS4 pro, pop in and lag everywhere. Especially when u first leave ur apartment

Physical copy, I asked the shop that I purchased the game, they say they would need to check with the distributor. They also advised me to email to CD Red Projekt.

Mine still sealed.

I do like the game, but not yet a fan boy.
What I was trying to say is the launch may be below expectations, but too many people are riding on the hate bandwagon.
The damage on the company may be too heavy and can affect future games, Like Witcher 4.

Remember they are not as large as EA or Ubisoft. They will need more time to recover, or not

Totally agree. As for me I'm cool with this game. Yes I hate the bugs but we need to give dev some time to fix the game. Remember EA Battlefield 4 took a year to fix and balance the game. That one was FPS not RPG but damn year weh. Even The Witcher 3 got some broken quest bug but people willing to wait for the patch. As for this game maybe it bcoz of the hardware limitation that makes the game broken on last gen console. Heck even on RTX3080 still got some bugs here and there. sweat.gif

The "backlash" is expected coming from an overly hyped game. Kinda reminds me of TLOU2. But that is due to plot instead of performance

I'm positive that CDPR can fix the technical bugs in this game, but i have my doubts on the following:

- Increasing performance WHILE making the game look better on last gen consoles
-Making Night City more alive

For the first point, i think CDPR has squeezed out every last drop of performance out of the last-gen consoles, idk if they can work any more magic on them. The limit has been reached.

The second point, idk man. They need to update the AI, add more shops, things to do etc. It's a long shot.

I still think they can do better. If the bug was purely graphic hiccup, its fine. But multiple bug that cause the game unplayable, crashes in all version ( PC,Xbox,PS4) and many more .

I still remember when they release Witcher 3 , it was buggy as well. But they should learn something by now coming from Witcher 3 launch ? .Not to mention people started to demanding the release of the game because they are the one who told they have gone gold at the same place. Why would you announce that if you still have all of this problem ?

They should not get a free pass just because they care about gamers and created Witcher 3.

The performance , bugs and glitches along the shady review embargo practices are let downs .
Especially after multiple delays .

But there is no denying game is well made .

The writings and narratives are fantastic , along with some of the most brilliant open world city designs .
Compare that with FFXV which was bragging on how they invented open world made me throw up .

I get why people are angry when the screen was freezing for 30 seconds before loading up gameplay .
They have every right to be since they were not informed of the base PS4 fiasco .

But it is disgusting when people are dismissing all the efforts the dev have spent onto crafting this exquisite and authentic cyberpunk settings .

Be angry at the right people , like the people who wanted to rush this out of the window just to please their investors .

I’ve bought the game but haven’t opened it. Sad to hear all this stories. Unfortunately we are living in social media age and this is an example of a case where all kinds of angriness are portrayed. Tbf who really knows where the screw up happened and unless we are truly in the organization we will never know.

I don’t feel anything wrong with people getting angry or complain (so long as they stop short of getting personal like involving families and friends). Ppl have different expectations when they fork out usd 50-70 for entertainment.

More important to me is CDPR is taking an unorthodox approach of fully refunding this. Reminds me of Xbox rrod issue (go look up ok utube). That was a Billion dollar decision from Microsoft.

Feel that CDPR will survive this either way and hopefully they sort themselves out internally for future projects.

For me, I will still try to return (coz I bought the collectors edition and I want to keep the goodies 😅). Don’t mind getting refunded for the game

This game can get addictive real quick despite the bugs. Just wished it is more accessible to the older gen consoles
