Updatessssssssssssssssssssss. Here's the PSU plate cover marked out n ready for cutting.
![]() Rough cut is done. Tried the fan n PSU plug mod to c if everything fits b4 I do the finishing work on it to make the edges nice n smooth. The brown paper will b peeled off once everything is done to prevent scratches. ![]() Here's the original PSU plate next to my acrylic plate. ![]() Mounted it on the case to make sure everything fits properly. ![]() ![]() View from the inside. The plug's mounting bolts haven't been cut. Just testing the fit now. I will cut the bolts to make it flush fit on the acrylic 2moro. The PSU wire will b soldered to the back of the plug. ![]() That's it for today. Phew, I didn't expect that darned plate to take so long. Was really difficult getting the plate to fit perfectly. The cutting of the window n top blowhole will commence 2moro. |

looking at this casing .. i feel like changing to smaller sized casing from full sized ones .. hmm.
i realize small size setup seem to be the trend now if we do not require lots of harddrive space & above average performance. |

QUOTE(AllnGap @ Jan 29 2007, 09:57 PM) Cant fit a 9cm fan. I tried. QUOTE(Mavik @ Jan 30 2007, 01:43 AM) I guess gone are the days where everyone craves for huge cases like the CM Stacker? that case is humongous.... Heh. I still prefer big huge gigantic cases. Small cases oni good for BT rigs. Gaming rig using small case will haf thermal issues.QUOTE(Doom @ Jan 30 2007, 12:23 PM) ATE is the only way in malaysia or u could afford then go to Singapore all the way .... but the price would be more expensive then here... The brown paper will b removed later after I finish the detailed work like making the edges nice n clean. If I remove it now, it will get scratched. |

i'd spray the acrylic piece (that covers the psu hole) black so it will blend with the rest of the casing. much nicer if you can get a brushed aluminum look on the acrylic

QUOTE(Doom @ Jan 31 2007, 12:08 AM) i am referring to the original PSU plate ... can it fit the 8 cm fan directly ??? Cant fit. Also, if u use the original PSU plate, it leaves a big hole below. I can drill the ori plate to fit the 8cm fan but that ugly hole will still be there below the fan.coz i would really looks better .... all alu mah ... no offense ... |

The casemod is now complete. ![]() ![]() Here's my favorite shot, I just cant get enuf of it. ![]() ![]() I really like the way this casemod turned out. It looks really nice now n the thermal issues r banished forever coz any CPU heatsink can be used without worry. Can even plunk in a Scythe Ninja if u want to.
