"Terpaksa" or not, it's still a right thing to do for Samsung. You can't deny that.  nod.gif
*
Sometimes its not under Samsung control. You found serious hardware bug that can cause fire in your product.

You are "forced" to do the "right" thing.

As for other company or as some say fruit company, they probably found its isolated incident.

Company like Samsung have a lot of expert in terms of technical and also in business. They recall after
calculated all the risk.

aiya, imagine fruit have 35 units of explosion out of 13million units on launch weekend(1) compared to 35 units of explosion out of 2.5million, of cuz the bigger % will show like WHOA SO BIG CASE AH. but then forget to see the numbers.

edit : (1) source from wikipedia.
i think i just did.  brows.gif

Fruit realise its isolated incident. Case closed.

Samsung realise the fire incident is not isolated. It will only get even worse. Recall imminent.

Can you differentiate that?

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Sep 11 2016, 10:54 PM)
But I read alot feedback that Lazada / 11st street having warranty issues. If you just want that get that cheapo price, there's the trade off. When you buy it at RRP from reputable store, warranty is intact, no issues.
*
Send back to Samsung service center la. You don't lie la. I know about warranty.

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Sep 11 2016, 10:54 PM)
Even so Note 5, RM3K launched now, same case what Note 7 launched at RM3.2K, minus 20% where will get RM1.5K still? NO? LOL.

I don't think you do own a Note 7, you're just bashing so that you hope you will score a phone from a forumer here to sell you at RM1.5K? LOL, try harder.
*
Sorry. Not interest to score an explosive phone

QUOTE(thugs @ Sep 11 2016, 10:55 PM)
Talking about responsibility, care for customer and own up the mistake.  nod.gif
*
Yeah, terpaksa own up. Too big to destroy their brand name.

Not about winning. Its about facts and data. bruce.gif

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Sep 11 2016, 11:00 PM)
then how? Are you suggesting that Samsung should do the right thing "volunteerly"? No way la. Which business company would do good things "volunteerly" one? Of course they all are "forced" to do so la. This is Business 101 ma. All is about profit. biggrin.gif
*
That's why. Samsung realise its really bad. Apple realise, well, its not too bad and isolated incidence.

So anyone still using Note 7 is risking their own life and life of their family and friends.

If they know it's too big to destroy their brand name, you think they will own up?  confused.gif

Again, they dare to admit their mistake, dare to accept the fact that they might lose the business, but.... they own up their mistake and dare to responsibility for the sake of ALL their customers. smile.gif
*
Of course own up destroy their brand name for a moment only.

I'm talking about IF NOT OWN UP, more fire and more disaster and this will destroy their brand forever.

S7 Edge blow up is isolated incident. That is why Samsung no recall S7 Edge.

Its as simple as that. Samsung will only recall really really bad hardware issue . Else, billions of USD is going down the drain.

I read USD1billion already spend and lost in the current recall. Lost sales of Note 7 will balloon this figure to multi billions of USD lost for Samsung.

Samsung booked a spot in Midvalley for a showcase next week... This was probably the planned launch date before the whole battery fiasco...

I think there is logic behind.

The problematic battery is from Samsung. I am sure same technology battery is used in every Samsung phone. So the tendency for a Samsung phone to caught fire is higher than other phone.

This Samsung fiasco is a boon to iphone 7 without headphone jack. The transition to headphone jackless phone will be easier now

My Note7 suddenly shut down itself. I can't switch it ON, I have to plug in the cable and charge the phone from zero.

Is this dangerous to continue use the phone?

Ya I agree, this is the better safer way and easier to identify.
Actually beside this 70% Note7 using SLI battery, they is also some units of S7 Edge using it.
*
no wonder you drop your intention to buy note 7

Of course, Samsung doesn't make such call as full accessories return. It's a decision made by SME. Accessories such as chargers and s-pen can be repackaged for resell.

I will go with only the phone and receipt and see how they respond to it.
*
yeah, you say that you already give away all the accessories because you don't like the accessories before the announcement of the return. I believe Samsung can't force you to return all the accessories.
