If one is too worried about the Note 7 exploding, just switched it off and don't use it. Wait for replacement to come in.
Many users isn't worried about it all & used it heavily daily as there's no issues. simple as that. |

Malaysian don't want any freebies? Samsung Malaysia will quote you this. Hope Malaysian customers would not want any freebies during pre order! |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Sep 10 2016, 06:27 PM) Removable battery FTW... if removable battery, then there's no waterproof with an IP68 rating If N7 were a removable battery device. Sammy's announcement, "To all N7 owners, please swap your removable battery to ANY service centres starting next week. We can assure the new battery supplied are safe and free from issues. Your continuous support in Sammy product lines and services is highly appreciated. Thank you." Bring back removable battery "tech".... |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Sep 10 2016, 06:35 PM) I don't believe in waterproof tech... It's "gimmick" tech to lure consumer... All materials has wear and tear issue, waterproof tech is rubbish to me. it's up to individuals..We'll see later lots of H20-gate in Apple's 2016 flagship later...just take pop-corn to enjoy the news .. Xiaomi CEO don't trust waterproof some do fall for the waterproof thingy QUOTE(fizzx @ Sep 10 2016, 06:37 PM) Funny thing is, after I factory reset and reboot it, it tried to update its firmware and it failed. Now I'm stuck. Wipe data and reboot also no difference. sad to hear. The log shows this: No support SINGLE-/SKU Supported Api:3 Dm-verity verification failed... Need to check drk first... E: failed setting up dirty target.... [omc-app-link] fail to mount/system as rwE:failed settings up dirtytarget [hwr_symlink] fail to mount/system as rw Damn sien nia.. Now have to google for solutions.. smh sorry I also don't know how to solve. QUOTE(Max2006 @ Sep 10 2016, 06:42 PM) This prove that no matter how many time you said touchwood, at the end, the phone will show up some problems eventually. No matter how many days, how many weeks, how many months it takes, it will come to you eventually. So I am sure even samsung recall programme is finish, we will probably still hear some explosion news from time to time because based on the human nature, I sincerely believe there's a bunch of people who won't replace their faulty Note 7. wah take risk by not changing to the new unit.. very risky wor.. now also suddenly from okay become KO |

QUOTE(teckyang97 @ Sep 10 2016, 07:29 PM) People have completely forgotten about Xperia ZL, where's its both removable and water resistant. I don't know how the idea "if its removable battery, then its not water resistant" exists. I didn't hear..The phone manufacturer should do more marketing / promo to make some awareness about their products.. |

Actually digi gave 2 option..They will dispatch courier service as per preorder address to deliver us new note 7 and handover existing unit upon delivery. Like the way Digi handle this case as we no need so hassle to go out Send to house address or u collect at your preferred digi center. |

QUOTE(attw @ Sep 11 2016, 04:18 PM) Actually, considering the stigma that is now attached to the Note 7, that may not be such a bad idea.. Haha just yesterday we all joke MAS did announcement, can fly using AirAsia.. Today AA follow..AirAsia is the latest to join the list of airlines announcing their concerns.. SEPANG, 10 SEPTEMBER 2016 - Following the recall of the Galaxy Note 7 mobile device by Samsung due to safety concerns over its battery, AirAsia and AirAsia X would like to inform all guests that the usage and charging of the device onboard all our flights are prohibited with immediate effect until further notice. All guests travelling on AirAsia and AirAsia X with a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 must turn it off until disembarkation from the aircraft. The device must not be kept in any checked baggage as well. Guests may approach any AirAsia and AirAsia X ground staff for further information about this new guideline with regards to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device. Malindo tomorrow I guess.. |
