felt so guilty to surrender my phone, when the cs guy asked me what is the problem? i said no problem, at most, hang one time, most is abit heaty, feels abit uneasy as in securing the loan phone, where the phone seems just fine, and even he don't think that our note 7 will explode anytime soon.

i doubt malaysia ones have battery issues, ours is made is UK wan lei, lol, referring back to the back case.

do not take it personal with the cs statement, actually i felt the same as well, that is how confident I'm with the product. it won't simply explode without heating up first, which most of the time, it is on the cool zone.

if you're worry, just surrender your phone and get a loan phone, i don't get s7 edge, but at least they're making an effort to replace me with s6 edge plus. letting your child to play with your phone, basically is asking you, yourself to play with fire and it just the same case in US where they left the phone unattended, jeep blown away, garage exploded, hotel room blast. the call center do understand the risk of it, try to speak with a proper manner, i don't see you won't get your resolutions promptly. one example is here.

in this case, switch it off as what samsung said, return in to the service centre, you might want to avoid sunway pyramid, can try one utama or even drop by gardens just like i did, not too much people and the cs are helpful.

and please don't bombard samsung fb, they're social media agencies, and they took instructions from sme directly, no point venge there, as they would take time to revert to you, unless you prefer the standardized reply, would strongly recommend you to give a call to sme careline, for your concern.

from my exp, i called 3 areas in order to get the replacement:-

1) SME
2) Sunway Pyramid retailer that I've collected the phone, he provided me all the service centre contact numbers, I called Pyramid, no one picked up, 1Utama left 1 S7 edge, and then Gardens.
3) Gardens, in securing the phone, as I've told them I would be travelling from Port Klang to take. so special case.

And I've double confirmed from Samsung Gardens, that the replacement is S6 Edge Plus not S7 Edge, if anyone managed to get S7 Edge. Please let me know ya. Thanks.

they give me options to either surrender the device or boxes, i said just take the whole box. no, i only provided with the phone only, no charger, usb cable, headphones.

they need your ic for processing, and they re expecting you to return to them on 29th. in my case, it would be slightly complicated, as i bought in pyramid, but im loaning from gardens, so i have to return to them beforehand in order to get my 1-to-1 replacement.

and i dont think they will take anything action from it, looks like they will keep it off for you inside the shop most likely.

oh yea, they will ask you to reformat the phone, just for security procedure.

yes, from the looks of it, it just like my phone is currently on-repair, so they're providing you a spare phone for time being while on the mean time keeping your note 7 turned off inside the shop.

i want note 5 too. hahaha. at least is the closest compared to our note 7.

keep it, as i don't think much phone available to buy by 29th. heard htc 10 also have overheat problem. so i think note 7 is still the best bet.

if you judge any other phones that launch recently last year, they depreciate quite fast, look at s7 edge, less than a year, 400 gone. a problem free phone. i lost up to 60% depreciation from zenfone 2 top of the line phone within 10 months.

if your replacement is not note7, then you can. just be safe, turn off be it note 7 or not.

from what we understood, start date of the phone replaced. with sealed box. just like new phones. is just that one don't need to do payment anymore lol.

well you have a point there, but note line-ups always have very good track record when it comes to resell value, with 4 years old note 2, you can get always roughly rm350 mark. that is for samsung trade in value. if everything else fails, just trade it in to samsung when note 8 is out.

my take is, yes it will depreciate faster than rrp, but eventually will get stagnant, you don't come and tell a note 7 worth rm500 after a year, lol.

but still, does it really matter when you're using the phone full fledged for the next 2-3 years or so?

Somehow it is, but for my personal P.O.V, I won't. Of course me alone won't justify the whole low yat community that changes phone like a cloth. And of course with those majority that changes phone adamantly, doesn't justify the majority of Note 7 users that are ditching over Note 8.

One thing I realized here is most of the comments here are not by Note 7 owners, but most of them are from prospects, kampung sebelah threads.

Trust me, give it a try and demo Note 7 by yourself, you'll be amazed, I can say, for now, right now, as in we don't have LG V20, nor iPhone 7 / 7 Plus here, this is the closest phone you can get. But of course you need to know what you want first, specs wise you can always go with OnePlus3. But in terms of usability, S-Pen + Multi tasking, is a winner to me. And I believe not just me, most of YouTubers does have faith & carries Note 7 as their daily driver. Maybe they will return it as of now, but I'm pretty sure they will use it once it's available mass. And we can't deny it is the Samsung Flagship of 2016 nonetheless.

har, you're from note 5? then you might not as thrilled as it is, but of course you got some improvements as in, edge screen, try hold it bare naked, it's smexy, take it the spen and jot down the notes, the feeling of the tip is just like using pilot g2 0.7mm back in the schooling days.
