TR lost his Superpole win though by just a few mm crossing the outside track limit. Anyway strong performance by him this year, should have been further ahead if not for Gerloff stupidity crashing into him in Misano. I hope JR will finally lose his title this year.

Means he didn't get the Triple weekend win? Kesian.

Nope, JR launched a protest so he lost the win but rules are rules I guess.
*
So Rea and Bautista remain the only triple weekend so far. Such a pity, during post race interview he said his target was a triple win and he was so happy about it.

Great ride by Peco, clean ride by MM. So happy that he won finally. Indirectly thanks to VR for nurturing a great talent. It's difficult to win the Championship but anything can happen. If he keeps getting good results and FQ performance slumping he could do it. Looking back though, Yamaha usually drops performance in 2nd half of the season.

Early signs MM is coming back to his best? Qualify in top 5 previous 3 races. And challenging for the win in this one 🤔

He's getting back his touch

Just make sure not to crash.  Hahahaha.

With him getting beat, would it be too early to say he is getting old? laugh.gif

if we take VR age as benchmark, MM still young lol

I am taking Rossi out of the equation that's why I say he is getting old lol. With Rossi out , Aleix is the oldest at 32.

Not surprised, counter-clockwise tracks are his forte.
Rossi was still at his peak at 30-31 (until that big crash at Mugello). MM is either gonna be post-1999 Schumi (win another world titles after a big injury) or Rossi (minor slump but still a force to be reckoned with).
*
Honestly I think no one can match Rossi if they get to his age. On the grid I think he is the least injured of all in his career.

Inb4 Yamaha rider friendly bike, see Lorenzo, Vinales (exclude the brake incident) they all seldom crashing during Yamaha career.
*
Yeah true. HS55 did well on an M1 too. I would like to think that Yamaha became very rider friendly since Rossi joined but I don't have the hard facts to support that.

Vinales just mention he found Aprillia more physical demand, now he need to work on intensive training. Another fact of Yamaha rider friendliness, haha.
"The Aprilia is more difficult and physically tiring. I need to train a bit more. I did the race without any problems, but the bike moves more and I also suffered a bit more"

Yeah, almost all ex-Yamaha riders struggle when on other bikes.

Lol isn't that Dovi also rode the 3rd HRC Honda during Stoner Pedrosa era? The one and only time I see a team with 3 riders...
*
That is too long. Also another time Doohan, Okada and Criville. Once there was 4 riders also if I'm not mistaken, it was when Aoki was on it. I remember coz all 3 Aoki brothers on the podium in all classes.

Let’s see whether Dovi can bring that so-called rider-friendly Yamaha further up the grid. Cuz nobody else seems to be doing so other than FQ. Lol

Key word is consistently. MV did but only on occasions.

You must have missed the bus. Disney annouced earlier this year that they are shutting the Fox affiliated channels in SEA. This includes Fox Sports Asia.
The rights for MotoGP in SEA is now with SpoTV (as well as WSBK), which will be added by Astro this 1st of October, and on UnifiTV (SpoTV 1 and SpoTV 2) on the 14th of October (meaning you will miss the US MotoGP if you rely on UnifiTV).

Astro has picked up the rights for F1 in Malaysia, and will be showing it on Astro Arena 2 (should be available to stream for free on Sooka) and Supersport 5
*
What a big shame. They've done a good job especially lately with the graphic infos. I hope the new channel is as good or better.

Good race, all back to back winners in each class. Hope FB can overhaul FQ to make the finale a close one, likewise Moto2 and Moto3.

On the other side in WSBK, the championship swings back and forth over the weekend. As it stands only 1 point between JR and TR.

Ah damn, SpoTV won't be showing all races from WSBK. Only the main one. Supersport and Supersport 3000 are only shown on SpoTV Now

"A new deal covering more than 15 territories is set to begin in 2022

Dorna Sports is delighted to announce a new long-term agreement with the Eclat Media Group for the exclusive broadcast rights to the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship from 2022 until the end of 2026. WorldSBK will join MotoGPâ„¢ on SPOTV, the new home of motorcycle racing in South East Asia.

The agreement secures top quality coverage for WorldSBK fans in the Republic of Korea, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Every WorldSBK race will be shown on SPOTV or via local carriers in each country or territory, with coverage also provided for the WorldSSP and WorldSSP300 categories on OTT service SPOTV Now.

In addition, Eclat will produce on-site, unilateral coverage at the Indonesian Rounds of WorldSBK, providing tailor-made broadcasts for the host nation of each event.

Eclat Media Group, with SPOTV, will also prove a committed and experienced partner for Dorna Sports in establishing a wider fanbase for motorcycle racing in the Republic of Korea, an important South East Asian and global market."

Where does it say not all races?

Main SBK races will be shown, but not Supersport and Supersport 3000. All races encompass all classes as Fox are doing right now

Sorry, I thought you meant the WSBK main race only , Race 1 and Superpole not included.

Meanwhile in WSBK, C. Davies has retired.

What a shame. He is a fast and consistent rider but somehow he always gets faster team mates like Melandri, Bautista.

It seems a few seasoned riders retiring end of this season. It's like "I'll retire when Rossi retires" laugh.gif

Tom Luthi
Chaz Davies

Wtf Fox Sports. They replaced the Superpole race with Race 1 of WSBK. Fox Sports says the race is cancelled. Thank god they are gone next month

Since they are leaving, seems like they don't really care anymore.

Toprak Razgatlioglu is invincible right now, finally this season JR might not be winning the championship!

Yeah 20 pt gaps now, I hope he keeps it up cuz he deserves to be much further.
*
I would not say he is invincible, his wins are hard fought and not just running away at the front. I agree he deserves to win the championship.

RIP Dean Berta Vinales.
