QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 13 2021, 11:05 AM) Well you cannot really say downhill nuw cuz FQ is leading by a good margin, just that the other guy goes downhill fast. I suspect MV is the issue here, he just couldn't cope that he is being trounced by FQ. I mean downhill in general. Tru FQ is leading but still hasn't been consistent in all races. Management wise they seem to be a bit lost at the moment. They can't seem to manage their riders, it's either one or the other.

What a race. Would be awesome if Rossi got on the podium. I would've thought Miller and Rins got the upper hand when they pitted ahead of the others but I guess it was too early for them. This is good for the Championship.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 13 2021, 06:01 PM) Where did you read this? It was suspected he kept over revving the engine. Looks like he has much worse attitude than JL yet obviously a lot less talented. https://www.autosport.com/motogp/news/petro...orship/6646393/

https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2021/08/16/m...-in-2022/387024Vinales to Aprilia. What are the chances of Dovi going to Yamaha? I remember he was in Tech3 Yamaha after he was dumped by Honda. He did pretty well on a satellite bike back then.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 17 2021, 09:49 AM) But with no major sponsor now, Dovi might not be interested. Not SRT but Yamaha factory. The empty seat is still there and no rider is confirmed alongside FQ, just rumours.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 17 2021, 01:07 PM) Most likely Morbi will be in it, cuz SRT already allow to release. Yeah, he is the obvious choice but in light of recent events, the silly season starts. Rossi's retirement opens up a seat at a pretty good young team, but Petronas' withdrawal makes the seat less desirable now with potentially no factory spec bike. Then Vinales's news confirms the empty seat at Yamaha and closes the door at Aprilia(where Dovi was expected to fill~maybe/maybe not). We will see where the musical chair lands next. But basically there's gonna be major shakeups in 2022. Also read somewhere Miller's seat at Ducati not safe as his performance was not as expected. Same thing with Alex Rins. A lot of fun reading stuff around. Just read with a pinch of salt.

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 18 2021, 02:13 PM) To spice up the thing, Marc Marquez should really consider a Yamaha bike, rider friendly and podium contender. Honda's future might not be easy for him unless he's willing to take extra risk as per 2018-2019 period .. Speaking of MM, the last two races I just kinda noticed his riding seems very reckless, his riding this season looks inconsistent. Maybe previous seasons he has been at the front most of the time so a lot less barging and banging was seen. That kinda riding does not look attractive to teams.

Meanwhile, in WSBK, Scott Redding leaving Ducati for BMW next year. I stand by my statement that he is an over-rated rider. https://www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2021/Reddi...rldSBK+campaign

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 22 2021, 01:29 PM) Naah, just retire properly from bikes is better, don't further prolong the downhill journey. Do GT3 racing us better for him. He should've stayed with Ducatti. Now he's nowhere. Don't know what happened to him, he was so superior on that first half of that year then all wheels fell off drastically in the 2nd half to lose the title easily to JR. I think Ducati team is quite hard to work with, that's why Alvaro left despite having straight wins in his debut, now Redding also leaving.

Yes agreed, WSBK also not kind to ex MotoGP riders making transition this season. Rabat having problems every week. Folger also not making any impact.

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 24 2021, 06:52 PM) Bautista back to Ducati... What?! The way Ducati has improved, Redding may be kicking himself in the nuts now. In other news, Adam Norrodin returns to Moto2 to replace Jake Dixon for Silverstone, who is replacing Crutchlow who was replacing Morbidelli and now replacing Vinales. . What a rollercoaster!

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 25 2021, 03:45 PM) Ducati got improvement? Same bike since 2019 debut, and this year I think they just modify the seat only, thought Redding always overriding the bike. This year's Yamaha and Kawasaki on upper hand... Just the last 2 races. They can win.

QUOTE(RalphRatedR @ Aug 27 2021, 04:40 PM) https://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/srt-...misano/6653934/I'm surprised Razlan still wants to be on the grid. Kinda thought he'd sell the team to some Moto2/Moto3 team bosses. I am mulling the possibility of a tie-up with former SRT Moto2/Moto3 Team. If it's up for sale(with a good price) maybe can take over.

QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Aug 30 2021, 01:06 PM) Is our msian rider still in moto2 ? Hafizh Syahrin is on the worse developed chassis on the grid. Having said that they have made some improvements over this season albeit very small. Unfortunately he has had a lot of injury issues lately. Hope things get better soon.
