1.MM
2.VR
3.DP

MV out. I don't think Rossi deserve the 0.3 sec penalty because of the nature of the incident and section of the track.
*
Yah agree, he had nowhere to go, and even though he did become a bit closer to MM that time, the gap quickly neutralize again. Luckily that doesn't matter in the end. This is though highlight the problem with modern tracks with so much smooth run off where they don't penalize racers who go off. If that happened in the traditional tracks surely VR would have crashed or at least lost a lot of time. Anyway again a great comeback from VR on Sunday, just unfortunately we're again robbed of a showdown between MM & MV but I think looking at how good MM here, I don't think MV would have beaten him either.

Race direction reason for the penalty:
http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/244889/1/...si-penalty.html

VR though blamed Zarco for that:

Race Direction said Rossi could have avoided the penalty if he had backed off by the same amount, once he returned to the track.
Ini racing lol, how to backed off during a race when your adrenaline is rocket high brows.gif

But the penalty of 0.3 I think is quite fair. Since it is a result of comparing the sector.
And Yamaha doing great job by not putting up the Penalty notification since is negligible.

VR 10th title macam forever so far...
But he can be this consistent for this 2017 Season I think sudah terbaik la.
Nothing much to ask for with his current age notworthy.gif

Well if he had slowed down a bit maybe in the next 2 corners then he would probably not get a penalty. I think VR criticism of Zarco also not so correct coz he himself were often quite aggressive an opportunist during close fight and that's why he was great. Anyway moot point now already.

Yeah VR cannot rely on just consistent podium finishes, he needs real genuine speed to beat those 2 young guns to win him his 10th and it doesn't look as promising yet especially relative to MV on ths same bike (with MM at least he can hope he can have a better bike as the season progresses). He needs to sort out his front end problem to match MV.

At 38 still so competitive and fast against very talented ultra fast young guns, that already cements his legendary status.

I have not watch the full race on how Zarco overtake.
But as Ayrton Senna said "... if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver ..."
I think the only difference is, in Bike racing also have to consider opponent's safety that's all.

Zarco:
“No, that's MotoGP, that's why maybe the way I did it could not go. But it was necessary to do it like this, because there was an opportunity to pass him, and if asked myself, can I do it? Maybe I crash, so necessary just to do it.

It's important to get as many points in the beginning of the season. It may help at the end of the season.

Race direction point is Rossi should ease the gas after the save which for me translates to let Zarco catch up to him hahahah

nope...

he should lift off throttle while rejoining the track... not full throttle max and cut thru the chicane...

thats gaining advantage

0.3sec is fair considering the advantage he gain from cutting 1 corner straight at full speed....

Realistically though, only the top 3 are really competitive to win the title this year. If MM strikes again in Jerez, then all 3 can be almost equal in the standing with less than 10 points separating them. But yeah from 4-10 they're all very close in the points and some can upset the top 3 to steal a win or two.
