What i going on at Yamaha? I think since Brivio left things slowly went downhill.
*
Furusawa (Yamaha's ex master engineer) retiring was a bigger loss. Meregalli still did a decent job leading the team but the bike felt like lacking something that Lorenzo & Rossi were able to turn it to formidable machine.

Where did you read this?

I have no idea about the problems at SRT. Maybe the pandemic forced Petronas to cut budgets plus they're not the type that pour money freely at their own will (they have allocated a budget for SRT for a specific period).

What happened between him and KTM?

Not KTM but seriously this pretty much shows talent alone can't make riders go further without the right attitude.

He should've stayed with Ducatti. Now he's nowhere. Don't know what happened to him, he was so superior on that first half of that year then all wheels fell off drastically in the 2nd half to lose the title easily to JR.
*
Rev limit handicap on Ducati + something in his head that probably only he knew. Now looks lost at Honda (although tbf Honda has been irrelevant in WSBK for nearly 2 decades).

Even Kawas are handicapped this year.

I'm surprised Razlan still wants to be on the grid. Kinda thought he'd sell the team to some Moto2/Moto3 team bosses.

I seriously didn't expect Toprak to attack Rea right at the final chicane but I think Rea would've done the same if he didn't overtake Toprak earlier.

Rare mistake from Acosta but Garcia missed the opportunity to close the gap in championship with that crash doh.gif

Pecco needed that win more than MM but still 53 points behind Quartararo & FQ is unlikely to repeat last year's choke (not gonna rule this out though).

Early signs MM is coming back to his best? Qualify in top 5 previous 3 races. And challenging for the win in this one 🤔
*
Not surprised, counter-clockwise tracks are his forte.

QUOTE(Aydee @ Sep 13 2021, 03:43 PM)
With him getting beat, would it be too early to say he is getting old? laugh.gif

Rossi was still at his peak at 30-31 (until that big crash at Mugello). MM is either gonna be post-1999 Schumi (win another world titles after a big injury) or Rossi (minor slump but still a force to be reckoned with).

I don't believe much anymore out of this guy, he is probably just giving excuses again why he was so far behind his team mate. If M1 was easier then why on earth you cannot be consistently fast on it until you got fired?
*
It's always the rider that makes the biggest difference & Vinales is clearly a level below Quartararo & maybe even Morbidelli. Also his biggest problem is his attitude. If he keeps the same attitude he had at Yamaha maybe Aprilia will dump him too.

Plus Yamaha is a one-man team like Honda now, they're putting all their eggs into one basket (Quartararo) until Morbidelli returns from his injury.

Not taking sides but I love the fact Mir has the balls to speak his mind laugh.gif

Although sometimes one can always confuse it with whining sweat.gif

If Miller fails next year either Bastianini or Martin should replace him.

I'm amazed with the fact Pecco's soft rears barely held on.

While Rossi & Marquez were right about factory Ducati riders' tyre choices, I feel Ducati are overly reliant on their bike instead of their riders' abilities.

More bad news on MM, he will miss the final race cuz still suffering double vision problem after his accident. ☹

Missing Valencia wouldn't be a big deal compared to missing next week post-season test at Jerez. I think MM (and probably Honda) would be at disadvantage until pre-season test next February (assuming he can recover in time).

The last time Yamaha won WSBK title, Meregalli was their team boss & BMW S1000RR was brand new. Old guards like Haga & Corser were still on the grid laugh.gif

Been quiet in MotoGP but rumor is FQ asking €20M to Yamaha for his contract!

Idk if Yamaha is willing to meet his demands but it's better for them to keep him at all costs for the sake of continuity. Last time they couldn't keep Lorenzo (although Ducati offered him a decent cash) & his replacement in Vinales wasn't up to the level of Lorenzo (turned out to be a dud with his attitude, even Yamaha had enough with him).

Not that I have high expectations but I'd be surprised if this one is as good as Leeds' docu
