Amazing Rossi. Too bad he couldn't make the podium. On the plus side, he still got good points. Also great ride by Pedrosa.

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Sep 25 2017, 03:49 PM) yup, pretty close fight. MM is like win or crash but unlike Crutchlow, he rarely crashbut imo it is that extra efforts to push yourself will determined the winner. everytime i see MM race, i hv a feeling that he gonna do something and not contempt just being in the leading group. And great ride by Franco Morbidelli too in Moto2. He could've settled for 2nd, but he fought for the win. |

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Oct 1 2017, 07:22 AM) He doesn't want. He wants to be in the top team so he can win. He'll probably wait for Yamaha/Honda/Ducati to be available. He's always winning in WSBK, no reason for him to just make up the numbers in MotoGP. Who knows, he might take Rossi's place. |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 4 2017, 02:17 PM) The problem is all the front running team already have very fast riders, so he will likely get beaten up badly initially if he goes into one of those and snowballs downhill from there. That was the problem with all the previous attempts, for example by Colin Edwards & Ben Spies in Yamaha. Their problem was Valentino Rossi in his prime This post has been edited by Aydee: Oct 4 2017, 03:16 PM |

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Oct 4 2017, 03:36 PM) if i am JR, i will stick to wsbk and become legend. Being a former racer myself, racers want to always challenge themselves. Just to prove to yourself that you are good in any championship. It's great to win everytime but ultimately you will feel stagnant and want to push yourself. The interest is there but if a good opportunity comes why not grab it?If Yamaha offered him,I'm sure he'll jump at the chance(provided Yamaha is still competitive)why need to destroy the legacy u build by getting trashed in motogp.. |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 4 2017, 11:41 PM) And now still got MM in Honda, MV in Yam (while VR is still very fast too), and Dovi peaking now in Duc. So surely JR will get trashed if he joins any of those top 3 teams. Other WSBK champs like Troy Bayliss and James Toseland also did not fare well when coming to GP bike racing. Maybe they cannot handle the more brutal and sharper GP bikes, while vice versa retired GP racers had won titles in WSBK (like Biaggi and Checa). Yamaha also has no good reason to offer him coz they still got Zarco in the wings to replace VR. Zarco is still younger, already showing good speed, and has more potential to grow, why get the older JR who doesn't have any GP experience at that age, from another team some more. QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Oct 5 2017, 08:21 AM) in my opinion, a rider who is already in motogp will be more realistic choice for Yamaha, when history doesnt favour previous wsbk champs turned motogp. Toseland was doing quite well on the Tech 3, being in the top ten a lot in his debut year but unfortunately was dropped for Ben Spies after winning the Superbike Championship. Too bad JT had to retire due to injuries, on the plus side, he is a really good commentator on the grid with good info on top of being a really good looking guy.plus there is still plenty of riders to choose from moto2 pool. Fresh blood from other championship is good too, with JR, there will be more followers in MotoGP(to compensate for VR's departure) This post has been edited by Aydee: Oct 5 2017, 08:42 AM |

QUOTE(^pomen_GTR^ @ Oct 12 2017, 12:55 PM) the young promising asian rider gone already (tomizawa) and existing one not sure if can perform as good as catalan or not QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Oct 12 2017, 02:22 PM) With the Asia Talent Cup, hopefully riders from our region can be groomed and given a fair chance at the world stage. I've been following the Championship with one eye and I see a lot of potential there. First step is Takaaki Nakagami. If he impresses, I'm sure others will follow. |

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Oct 15 2017, 01:14 PM) lol VR crashed... there goes the last chance.. seems more like a 2 way horse race now. p/s: love that suzuki showed some resurgence though QUOTE(arinpresto @ Oct 16 2017, 01:39 AM) Still have a (slim chance) next year. TBH this year it's the bike that's not performing so good. Congrats to Hafiz Syahrin for the podium! "Rainmaster" KIP really struggling in Moto2. |

QUOTE(voscar @ Oct 18 2017, 01:50 PM) It seems like the Honda was not easy to ride in wet, Crutchlow, Pedrosa either crashing or complaining no grip.. top 10 only 1 Honda.. MM really the rider king by mastering that to 2nd, almost a 1st... Others seem to have difficulty putting heat to the rear wheels |

Yeah| great battle with a lot of guys. If Zarco didn't kacau daun maybe VR would've won. Suzuki performance quite good here, so was Aprilia and ktm. Ducati tge only one struggling. A lot of pushing and shoving.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 23 2017, 06:07 PM) MM can actually wrap up the title in the next race! Dovi needs help now from the others to slot in between him and MM, while MM actually can just play it safe from now on! Despite the entertaining race in Aussie, it's in fact quite a let down in the bigger scheme of things after the Motegi showdown. Scott Redding also not helping Dovi much |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 24 2017, 06:17 PM) Yeah, what's with that other Ducati riders?? They did not care about helping another Ducati rider. Only JLo did not fight Dovi but the satellites riders just raced like normal as if they're going against other teams. I think people like Redding want to prove to people (not ducati bosses) that he can fight with a less superior bike. He is going to Aprilia anyway so he doesn't care. It may backfire on him though coz it does not show 'team spirit'. |
