I have no idea if FIM/Dorna/IRTA still want to go ahead with Far East races. A huge gamble if they do.

They hired Repsol Honda livery designer? whistling.gif

Gonna wait until factory Yamaha gets a new title sponsor for a new livery but with their "consistencies" Monster Energy won't hesitate jumping ship to elsewhere.

KTM really means business. Can see them as a serious challenger to Japanese + Ducati in this decade.

I have no idea Biaggi's shit talking would end up biting him back & damaging his career. What could've been...

Hard to believe covid hit Fausto this hard. The boss is joining Kato & Sic up there.

Rossi is the superior pilot till the late Nicky crashed the party cool2.gif cool2.gif

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Feb 28 2021, 02:31 AM)
That season was Rossi's biggest mistake. He did have some technical dnf but ultimately he only had himself to blame for losing to Nicky. Nicky didn't win it but Rossi lost it and gave it away basically.
*
Elias (the same guy that hit Rossi at Jerez, that's 23 points) pipping Rossi at the line at Estoril threw the spanner in the works. Come Valencia, Rossi had 8 points advantage over Hayden & had a bad start. Still salvageable but the kicker is he crashed. If he finished at least 8th he could've won the title (equal on points with Hayden) on countback (more wins vs Hayden).

In short, Rossi nearly pulled a comeback like Colin Edwards in 2002 WSBK but failed just short.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Feb 28 2021, 02:31 AM)
Rossi is a fit world class athlete while Gressini is a 60 yr old man, big difference in strength and fitness.
*
Fausto battled with pneumonia caused by covid. Double whammy.

What's his problem?

Just Lorenzo trash talking & being an asshole. Plus he's bitter that Crutchlow stole his test rider job (can blame the pandemic for not enough testing times but when they did test at Portimao, Lorenzo was out of shape & off the pace; lapped on an old GP bike slower than Vinales on an R1).

Imagine Murray Walker commentating together with Nick Harris.

I can see a bit of Sebring there. And it's not flat! MMarquez must be happy with another counter-clockwise track.

About time, but will it be as good as Mark Neale's documentaries? Hopefully none of Drive to Survive manufactured drama BS.

Gardner & Roberts stepping up to better teams & Beaubier returning to world championship - I don't remember when was the last time I was excited for the middleweight class, maybe 250cc days with Biaggi Waldmann Harada Jacque Nakano etc.

Yamaha looking good and VR being cheeky to tail gun FB to get up to 4th. But great lap by FB to get pole by a good margin but I think the win will be among the Yamaha guys.

If their tyres can hold up, probably will happen. Inline-4s are supposed to be gentle on the tyres but Yamaha riders pushed too hard to make up for the lack of power at the expense at tyre life.

Expected the factory Duc riders & Zarco will be quick off the line but Martin is a big surprise.

Morbidelli having a shocker of a start isn't so him at all.
