Remember you mentioned the onboard message on meter panel?
seems Yamaha team didn't use it, or Rossi did not bother. Penalty for Rossi after using wet tyres for more than allowed 10 laps in FP1...

They are using just for essential messages from race control. Rossi demoted because of confusion. Apparently 8 laps includes inlap and outlap. Yamaha thought it wasn't included.

The full onboard system is proposed for next year.

I see, so unlike f1 where team can inform rider to switch to which engine mode...
Both Yamaha seeking for no.2 will battle themselves behind if FP3 was to cancel due to rain

That is just bad rclxub.gif

Team should have been clear about their strategy, rules etc.

It seems Yamaha just like Ferrari f1 team, they need strategy masters and onboard radio/message display. Didn't follow the qualifying but looking at Rossi cannot through Q2 today, I would thought they came out in wrong timing during FP3, just as Lorenzo said his FP2 encountered...

Yeah.

If only Yamaha and Rossi did good in San Marino last year; Rossi would have clinch his 10th MotoGP title.

Both team and it's rider did not work together in that GP.

Ultimately in MotoGP, the riders have much more say in decision making coz they're the ones who really feel the track and the engineers cannot communicate thru the radio like car racing. VR basically screwed up in Q1 today by staying too long on his first set and not change early enough, just like the Misano race last year. Again despite so much experience, VR still often makes mistakes in changing condition.

JL at least did better in Q1 but, man he was pathetic in Q2, practically got humiliated left right and center by the rest of the riders! His best Q2 lap time was much slower than Moto2 laptimes!

Too bad davide brivio left when Rossi left Yamaha for Ducati. I think he and Rossi are a good match.

Among Aussie's greats.

Like it or not he pushed Ducati to the limit during his racing days.

And then shape up Repsol Honda from his tenure until now with Marquez.
