9th motogp winner of the season at sepang, thanks to Rossi-yamaha struggling with front tyre wear approaching mid-end race. This story has repeated I think no less than 4 occurrence this year, good job FIM for bringing in Michelin which successfully spice-up the competition, hehe...

Yeah laugh.gif

Making the sport more exciting where leading a GP does not guarantee a win even though you have the fastest machine.

Everyone having issues.

Meanwhile in WSBK Jonny Rea retains the title. Just finished watching Race 2. In the last lap Rea just let Sykes past him in order for Sykes to secure the No. 2 in overall standing. This is purely on Rea by the way, no team order whatsoever. At the end of the race they hug each other. Pretty nice scene considering how competitive both of them.

Lorenzo says he is not slow in the rain

He always is slow in the rain i think

There's always a reason

He got third because people in front of him crashed and he was like 8 seconds back. Sorry Lorenzo fans, I just can't help it laugh.gif

Yeah, Rea is a nice guy, I'm not sure how the points stacked up before but I think if Rea won and Sykes 3rd, it would give Sykes 2nd in the championship but in the end he couldn't pass Davies so gave up 2nd instead.

Hopefully next year will be much better for Motorsports. I think the dramas at Yamaha and inconsistent Ducati certainly helped Marquez to his 3rd Word Title. Interesting to see how JLo will fare on new bike, new paddocks and most importantly he's going to work with an entirely new crew members. By the way, it is astonishing to see how much Aleix Espargaro has regressed. He was pretty much the second rider behind Maverick Vinales this year. Very good rider but for some reason always stuck with new developing team. This certainly hinder his progress as a rider.

Meanwhile in World Superbike Aprilia and Ducati will be providing better support for their respective team in year 2017. Aprilia were doing good before they eventually pull the plug starting year 2015. Good to see Laverty and Melandri are back to provide some competition. Chaz Davies is doing well as well. The only downside is former World Champion Sylvain Guintoli has yet to secure any ride. Certainly age is not on his side (He's turning 35 next year) but he did better on the same Yamaha compared to the much younger Alex Lowes even though he missed couple of rounds due to broken foot.

When I saw Iannone climbing up the field...I knew he's gonna crash laugh.gif

Speaking about crashing, Crutchlow's back to his crashing ways.

MM wins the title mainly because:
1. He is more mature now in his race approach, more thinking of the big championship picture to maximize points.
2. Both Yamaha riders made too many mistakes.
3. Yamaha failed to improve the bike further after 2nd half of the season, or Honda had caught up.
4. Ducati still not consistent enough.

The main things to watch for next year are how MV will compare against VR and how JL will perform in the new team as well as how Ducati can improve further.

Next year is a totally different ball game, Aprilia has improved a lot in the last few races, we know Suzuki has the potential to challenge(with Iannone on it), also KTM is entering the game, which could be a surprise. We also have the grid shaken up pretty good with different bikes.
