QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Oct 16 2016, 09:08 PM) Even if you're a professional.
You are still a normal human being; make mistakes.
Sad for Rossi.
Four(4) DNF in 2016.
MotoGP Japan: Valentino Rossi: No warning before Motegi misery
"Sincerely, I felt nothing... but I lost the front and logically I made a mistake" - Valentino Rossi.
Read more at http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/234487/1/...igroJfmrerlS.99 If you read Lorenzo's comment after his crash, it's similar. He said there's no feedback from the front. They chosen the wrong front tyres I guess.

Last year's Yamaha damn good, almost never had any crash, coming this year always crash and engine failure, so handed over championship to non-competitive but consistent's Honda rider

The odd thing is, if you look at JL's crash replays, he seemed to lost the rear first! VR also said he did not go wide or off-line but from the replays it seemed like he did go a bit wide then crash but at least he did lost the front pretty obviously.

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Oct 17 2016, 01:17 AM) and in 2015 he should have won if not 4 the bad strategy and the sepang debacle His 2016 season are worse than 2015.
Not a single DNF in 2015; just pure bad luck/decisions that cost him the title.
2016...Michelin tyres is the culprit...at least to the Yamaha YZR-M1 team.
Jorge DNF three(3) times.
Marques...none.

QUOTE(Aydee @ Oct 17 2016, 07:06 AM) Still battle for top Yamaha though Yeah that's the only thing left now, some intra-team battle for pride. Anyway I've already started to take it that way since a few races back coz I already felt that it's too difficult to catch MM. So to me the fact that MM has sealed the title doesn't change much.

Marc is a deserved champ for 2016. He rode with a lot of maturity this year. Unlike JL who totally sucked in the wet races this year and VR who's well...getting old perhaps

I didn't watch the moment both fell... lol. When I was watching, Rossi was out and Lorenzo was 2nd. Then I switched it off.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 17 2016, 01:46 PM) Yeah, if VR like 10 years back vs MM now, then that will be a hell of a fight! Changing of the guard I guess. MM is a talented racer no doubt about that. He'll continue to be at the top of the championship for many years to come. After VR retires JL would be in the twilight years of his career as well. Wonder who can take the fight to MM. MV maybe?

After VR retires JL would be in the twilight years of his career as well. Wonder who can take the fight to MM. MV maybe? Not sure if MV can match that level. So far he seems fast but I think has not stand out as much as VR or MM back then when they rose to the top. He has not totally dominate his team mates so far. VR when at the top of his game destroyed all his team mates comprehensively. VR only lost to JL once he starts getting old. MM now has dominated all his team mates including a very fast DP. I suppose we'll just have to wait & see next year when MV teams up with VR whether he can match or even beat VR. This post has been edited by 6UE5T: Oct 17 2016, 02:20 PM

I see the trend of British riders coming up from the junior classes and the Italians seem to be a lot in moto3 too. I wish there were more potential Asian riders around though.

I am confident Rossi will win 2nd place in the Championship.
He has a better race craft than his team mate.

Getting Started

|
from the comment of yamaha team, both riders fell due to front tyre. VR under braking, JL during open throttle. so its different situation for both riders.
