sorry for the late reply
frankly is because turtle island isn't in my radar at all

http://www.sabahtourism.com/destination/turtle-island-park
*
i see..
some more the best time to visit is only july to october.
crossing it out of my itinierary as i'm planning to go next january.
but i need to know something, the weather there.
in january is it rainy or acceptable as I'm planning to go to kundasang and go for island hopping too.

november till early jan is rainy season
but if u ask me, any day except school holiday and public holiday is the best time to go kundasang and island hopping
i went to kundasang on day 2 of CNY....OMG...the queue is totally standstill
island hopping would be crowded because of the arrival of PRC and korean(direct flight)....so there is no best time to visit but choose weekdays where its less crowded

if you mean KK, uber and grab is available. i'm also planning to go soon so if you want to go kundasang and KK, better just rent car for kundasang, and travel in KK using grab/uber.
can save a lot you know.

I never stay at this Mongolian yurt but we purposely go see as we are very near. The road to yurt is one road only and very steep and dangerous . So scary if another car coming from in front. Maybe u can check wit the Mongolian yurt website how they arrange to bring u up to their yurt.

Only been to Kinabalu Pine Resort.
Beautiful scenery, clean individual wood house,
no aircond (dont think anyone will need it anyway). Its on a slope, and walking around also could be problem for elderly.
Nothing much else to do, and breakfast is nothing to shout about.

what about the drive to the resort?
does it require car with power or even axia/saga is sufficient?

skip Suang Tain Seafood Restaurant and go to to welcome seafood restaurant about 200m behind
why?...suang tian is doing tourist business instead of local
the service is extremely slow, food came out really slow and its expensive
many foreign tourist that self plan now end up preferring welcome seafood for their price and service

how long at gaya street?...just finish walking it both way thn its finished
thn walk to wisma merdeka and find a shop call bits and bites at ground floor(near KFC)
go eat their cupcakes...OMG heaven and their small gula melaka cake as well..you'll be addicted

never ever eat Huang Jiu Tuaran Mee
you'll come back here and bash why tuaran mee taste like sh*t laugh.gif
thats not the way it was meant to be eaten

tanjung aru now moved to tanjung lipat already
all the shops are now there

skip lunch on day 3 and straight drive to coconut pudding at sepanggar thn up kundasang

if u have car, try kedai kopi syn lee @ towering for their tenom nodle(closed at 2PM)
most of the good kk food are located outside of kk
