Actually the waiting period depend upon the color of choice.
I heard White and Blue need to wait longer due to popularity.
Black, Grey and Silver should be faster.
I choose White, only. Although SA said give two color of choice.

both white and grey looks nice. just white is harder to maintain than grey.

Hi Guys,

I have been driving one - Comfortline - for about 3 weeks and it's a fantastic car and here are the pros and cons that I noticed so far :

1. Lively and powerful engine. Am surprised how much power can be generated by a 1.4 litre turbo. Take it easy on the pedal or fuel consumption suffers.

2. Good road holding with above average NVH qualities. Car fees solid and steady although suspension a bit hard. Steering lacks feel but is very precise.

3. Lots and lots of storage spaces and large boot

4. Engine is very quiet and smooth

5. Superb audio system and can be very loud.

6. City driving mileage about 13 kms per litre. Engine still "tight" - less than 1000 kms done so far.

7 DSG gearbox shifts very fast but can be rather "uncertain" when going uphill slowly.

8. Adjustable lumbar support for both front seats. Rear seats can recline a little.

9. Very spacious - generous leg and head room.

10. Very high quality and comfortable fabric seats.

Cons :

1. Fuel consumption can be a little high if driven aggressively

2. B column a bit too broad and can obstruct vision

3. A little low compared to other SUVs but seat height can be adjusted quite a lot.

4. So called day time running lights (non LED blush.gif ) can't seem to be turned off.

5. No power boot wink.gif

I don't know how good or bad the after sales service is but luckily the service interval is 15,000 kms. So I will only go once a year.

Sorry, question I have. For service interval is 15k, but how long the engine oil can last? can it really tahan for 1 yr or 15k mileage before change?

I suppose it only uses synthetic oil and service interval is 15,000 kms or 1 year whichever is earlier. I would like to find out later from the salesperson if I can bring my own synthetic oil to change or not. I don't really trust their mechanics unless I can see them work and change the oil. Who knows what they really put in. The salesperson told me normal service will cost about RM 600 each time.

Still remember I was shock when I saw the car came with Hankook Tires as standard, as I noticed some others region do actually fitted with Continental Tires. Cost cutting eh.

But Hankook ventus S1 evo2 SUV is not that bad actually, review is good.

Not to be a mood spoiler, but this wet clutch should be better at holding our hot weather eh? Ahh feeling anxious but the car is just too good.

The Comfortline comes with Falken Ziex ZE914A Ecorun tyres.

Hankook are good tyres.

The SA offered me 3M security tint for RM 2,000. He said it's worth RM 3,500 but gave me "special offer".

It's installed in VW SC itself.

However, I find that the front screen's tint is not so good in terms of heat reduction.

The salesperson told me that Malaysia has been included in the "Critical Climate Country" list and special attention is paid to weather sensitive parts. I suppose that's why they tested the Tiguan for 200,000 kms before launching it here. I hope they have finally solved the problem with the transmission which has hit VW Malaysia very badly. Top management had been replaced and people from Porsche has been helping VW Malaysia.
