Nice share Raymond, TQ. I don't even know such feature built in.

Dont care if the feature flawed but at least it was there.. biggrin.gif

No problem, mate. Just sharing my long time experience with Sony.

it's built in. you can go to Settings > Display > Double Tap to Wake
HOWEVER, the negative side is that this function is half-assed. it doesn't work always if your phone stays in the pocket most of the time. also, it may turn on by it's on if the screen faces your thigh.

ironically this feature was first found in Lumia phones, then extended to Oppo, then to Sony only since last year
good feature nonetheless, to prolong the lifespan of the power button

Sony had it 2 years ago actually, featured in Z2 that time. But nah, Sony has excellent power buttons since the Z. My Z Ultra has been using it for more than 2 years and it's still functional. laugh.gif

They should've do it like Huawei, where power button wasn't necessary at all and just unlocked by the sensor. I can say that I don't need the power button for my Huawei, unless its for power on/off, and reboot.

That's why u NEED a power button, it is not unnecessary.

Yeah, but my point is that the power on/off should be a sensor, not a button. It would provide a long lifespan of buttons, convenient, and everything, I don't see why not.

something like the new iphone 7 home button?

anyway, is there an option for xz to stay awake when full screen apps are launched? mine still sleep after 30 seconds of inactive, even when smart screen is switched on.

Try set a longer time for the screen to go sleep?

Anyway, android OS has been draining my battery quite a while. Gonna install wakelock detector to see what the hell is wrong.

My phone extended 2 more months warranty after 1 to 1 replaced the phone.
Is that normal?

I guess the warranty activates according to the date you turn on your replacement set, so it differs.

Alternatively u can install an app called tasker, an automation tool which is very useful. U can set the screen always on when u open certain apps.

I got my replacement phone on the spot. My phone top speaker spoiled just after 30hours.
But now my warranty until 27 dec 2017.

did you register your warranty online previously?
Sony usually give extra warranty if you register online
You replacement set might have been register for you

I didn't but not sure the staff.
I thought of this before, but free warranty is 3 months, mine is 2 months only. So weird.
