Camera not as good as samsung, got a couple of shots already, low light quite inconsistent, overall kinda remind me of htc 10, good build and design, but B plus camera,
videos recording very good, but htc 10 better audio.. |

Did do some comparison within iPhone 7plus and Sony Xperia xz with my z5p.
Both Sony are quite same in most aspects except Xz produce more sharpening photos which may create some problems for night time, should be very obvious on the sky.. Overall, smartphone outputs are very good to share in social media.. Colour, contrast and saturation is good enough except some conditions, Sony tend to boost the saturation like landscape on green, blue and red.. Xz do provide better/accurate white balance in yellowish indoor situation. Z5p tend to produce whiter images.. Xz able to capture faster and save photos at back end.. Besides these 2things, I think no need upgrade from z5 series to xz in camera aspect. IPhone 7plus, as usual, iPhone produce good photo. But, 1 potential problem, white balance seem over warm.. I'm not sure it's display issue or white balance detection, all photos are more yellowish.. My colleague purchased 2units, both are same after we done some testing.. Lastly, iPhone front camera upgrade to 7mp and have screen flash. But not good for group wefie. Overall, no smartphone is able to compete with real camera. With zoom to details, all flagship phone are providing great photos.. Thumb up.. Personally still prefer Sony than iPhone.. In conclusion, I won't upgrade from Z5p to xz.. Wait next gen with xenon flash smartphone. Haha This post has been edited by ChuanHong: Oct 14 2016, 09:10 PM |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Oct 14 2016, 09:08 PM) Don't you find the Z5P laggy? I couldn't stand the thing.. after so many resets and ended up using it in its bare basic for at the end of its life. LOL.For me I am very happy with the move from Z5P to XZ. I even appreciate the lighter/smaller body. I only miss the ability to hot swap the MicroSD card. Hope Sony realises this and gives us this option in the future. Plus wireless charging would be good, with cars coming with wireless charging spot area + android auto, soon won't have to mount it anymore to be in sight. Xenon flash, sadly not happening. Missed those from my K810i and K850i... But modern phones are as compactly packed as it is right now. Xenon flashes requires capacitors to store enough power for the flash, which takes up lots of space. Just like batteries, capacitor tech has not changed for many years. Unless Sony decides to put some high powered cree LEDs, then different story. LOL. |

But the transfer speed to the phone is torturously slow.. that's where a USB 3.0 standard would be better than the current USB 2.0 but type C QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Oct 14 2016, 09:43 PM) No laggy in my z5p.. No idea.. the performance was still unsatisfactory even after factory resets (after installing my apps and all of course). But the XZ is working really well for me so far.For all xz users, may watch this video. Quite interesting https://youtu.be/O-F00RFmxA0 Yeah man... those were they days when Sony (Ericsson) was really innovative with their designs and form factor.. coming out with different niche but special designs.. Now they're just a very conservative company struggling to survive in the mobile world. |

QUOTE(qayzim14 @ Oct 15 2016, 08:45 AM) Bought it online at ultimate shield website. It offer great sp for my z1. Been very satisfied. But the same cannot be said for xz case due to the curved edge. This glass only stick to the phone on the side. Due to the curve. Meaning fhe whole middle part is not really stick to the phone. So the whole feeling of it is like not so solid and also affect the screen sensitivity. I don't quite like the normal plastic sp. I am now considering getting the style cover and leave the screen bare without any sp |
