Sony Xperia is getting lesser and slower support from XDA.
Like no hope for getting exploit root.

I don't mind lossing DRM. I care about warranty only. I also bought another 2years extended warranty.
I usually only flash small mod, like adjust the speaker quality... seldom modify kernel level.

By looking back some old threads at XDA, seem like z3 was the last permanent exploit root.
For z3+ and z5, there were still having temporary root(used for backup TA before unlocking).
Since X series, there are unlikely any root without unlocking.

Rooting without unlocking won't lose the DRM and features but unlock will. That's why i hope, at least some dev can help with something, at least temporary root to backup TA.

Restoring TA actually doesn't unroot, but relock bootloader. Because root&recovery modified the system partition, which cause it cannot pass through dm-verify, which will bootloop. Finally you have to reflash stock kernel&firmware again.

doesn't have FM chip anymore. need to use the individual FM station App.

my other thoughts are, they want to push sales for Xperia X.

Confirmed X Compact not dual SIM and no hybrid slot.
