The southern route is highly probable if the new third port terminal to be built by China is located to the south of Port Klang (either on Pulau Indah or Pulau Carey area).

China Railway Group to going to invest US$2bil in building its own regional centre in Bandar Malaysia and since they want to make BM as the "glittering gem" in China's grand Pan-Asia rail masterplan.
You would think that there will be some form of rail integration between the main north-south aligned HSR and Malaysia's new east-west aligned railway ERCL at Bandar Malaysia.

Anyway, everything is just under speculation right now.
If they really choose the southern route for ERCL with a station at Canal city e.g. Bandar Saujana Putra or near the new Gamuda 257 project to make it more millennial friendly transport based development....It will be a game changer for this location.

wow big port and big investment they are planning there..

I think they better start planning to upgrade SKVE now...sooner or later it is going to be as congested as KESAS lol!
With this giant port located in Carey Island...I am sure sooner and later they will talk about rail connectivity to KL centre..maybe in the form of ERCL or some other project.

With so much infrastructure and investment money (200 billion $$$!) flowing into Southwest Klang Valley...exciting times ahead for Canal City areas and surrounding.

btw, it is probably just 18-25minutes drive from Carey Island port to Canal city area through SKVE and WCE instead of 40 minutes you shown on your attachment.
