Lol. You guys don't waste your time on worrying too much on the recall issue. Most likely it will only happen in Korea. The chance of recalling in Malaysia is extremely slim, the worse, none.

omg!!! 41h! what happen to ur phone!
how you do that
that is insane !

Nothing special. The same thing I have on my Note 5. Using PDP, disable anything that you don't need. Everytime I can get 50 hours estimated time after full charge. From day 1 i bought the phone.

The keypoint is just close down any feature you don't need at all, only install apps that you need, get rid of bloatwares and any useless apps. You can always get the same good result in any android phones if you keep this in practise. thumbsup.gif

Why don't use extreme power saver?
*
Power saver would just slow down the performance. So I choose to tweak the phone settings instead of slowing down the phone. biggrin.gif

but u r not using anything? what's there to do with performance?
*
I still use some important features, such as S Pen, S planner, S note ,etc. All I did is close the features I don't use or, the apps that I could find alternative apps to replace it, such as S Health, S Voice, Samsung Keyboard, S calculator etc.

Of course it would affect the performance. Without the bloatwares and unnecesary features that running in the background, you could save more rams and more battery life. You would never know when those bloatwares would come to kacau you. Perhaps the difference is not so significant, but you cannot ignore the fact that it does help. This the least thing you can do and control. The other factors such as signal, wifi, 4G coverage, that would be out of our control.

Of course, some people might say since you disable most of the features, then you better go buy a dumb phone. I don't agree. It's my phone. I am the master of the device. I can do whatever I want on my phone. The most important thing is that I am happy and satisfied with it. That's what matter to me. Don't you guys agree? thumbup.gif

Can share the list of  apps u disable with pdp?

I am using Note 5, so I refer to the tutorial I learned from xda.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/gene...note-5-t3184563

I am refering to the basic xml, with my own little adjustment since there's some apps I still need to use. It works as well for S7/S7 Edge. So I assume it would work the same to Note 7. Not too sure though since I do not have Note 7 yet, which thanks to the recent chaos. sweat.gif

Actually I did the same
Disable all bloatware
But max only can get 12h
This is why wondering is there any problem with battery
*
If that is the case, then may be some other factors are affecting it such as mobile signal, wifi signal, 4G coverage. What is the app that took most of your battery life? May be the answer is lying under there.

If you have any doubt about your battery performance, you can go to SC and ask them to check for you. If I am not mistaken, they can check your battery health status right on the spot with their system, for free.

Come to think of it, it's not only samsung. In fact, it's the common trend to be practised when one is doing business in Malaysia. We called that as "Malaysia boleh!". devil.gif

A recall by Samsung is imminent. No wonder they delayed the launching of the phones to September. If they are to replace everyone's battery/phone, its going to cost them a lot of losses.
*
Actually those explosion cases were happened AFTER they delayed the Global launching to September. Now they announced that the shipment will be delay once again. The dateline is TBA.

Read some news just now. Most likely a global recall is on the way. But according to various sources, you won't get 1 to 1 exchange and any refund. All you can get is battery replacement and hardware repair.

Good or bad?

Stop using the phone, stop buying new accesories, take out your screen protector, remove your casing, put the phone on the table, wait for Samsung Malaysia to announce their action.

Just joking bro. tongue.gif

At this rate better wait for Note 8.

Likely to have dual camera, and number 8 is hopefully lucky one for Samsung not to produce a defective device.
*
And May be. I say May be.....they will announce Note 8 early next year. Since Note 7 already damaged their reputation. cool2.gif

according to android authority.. :

"The Note 7 will be recalled worldwide. Sales have been suspended, and Samsung is working on preparing replacement units for the affected devices. The process of preparing replacements will take about two weeks, according to the company."

===

So is it battery swaps or 1 to 1 replacements?  hmm.gif
*
Hard to say at this stage.

NPR's Elise Hu tweets that all Note 7s sold to consumers will be replaced and unsold units will also be recalled. (Gizmodo Australia reports that the number sold makes up 1 million of the 2.5 million units produced.)

replace phone or replace battery....i believe replace phone if a faster solution, how many technicians they have to crack open this water proof device with all those glues and glass just to replace a battery..imagine how long the wait has to be..replace phone 1 to 1 will be a better options for both.
*
Make sense. But replacing 1 million units is also not an easy task to do so. Plus they also need to rush their production in order to meet the upcoming Global launching date.

Samsung really messed up big this time. doh.gif
