Could be some hidden term and condition behind the scene...who know? Based on the replies in facebook so far, looks like there's no guarantee words from SME that they will definitely give you a replacement. May be SME departments and SCs are still in kelam kabut mode. I guess Note 7 users must go to SC to find out the answer themselves.
Kind of expected. they should have explained everything in the announcement in the first place. But they didn't. Instead of telling you everything, they asked you to call them.
Well, this is the typical way of how Malaysia company is doing their business I guess...... Another case in our beloved bolehland...

i hope if we wait few weeks then exchange still OK cos i dont want to go without a phone even though i have extra phone at home but dont have any that support nanosim
You problem is just a small issue. Just go to your nearest telco and change it back to micro/mini sim. Once you get the new Note 7, change again. I know you are frustrated. but that's the only way to fix your problem for now.
change sim not free leh..plus troublesome...have to line up, take number..etc..
Well, what to do? I don't think SME will give you a new unit on the spot. Most likely SME will take back your phone and put it in check list for couple of days to weeks. You will still need to change the sim card for your old phone anyway.

Some store put the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units standing next to a fire extinguisher! lol! Not sure how true is this, but really fun to look at it. Haha!
For you guys who wonder what will Samsung do with those recalled Note 7. Most likely, they will become refurbished phones and then being dumped into the refurbished market.
Now the potential buyers will have to worry. It's possible that in near future some unethical dealers may sell those refurbished Note 7 as brand new phones. Those refurbished Note 7 sure will be dumped into the market, intentionally or unintentionally. We may end up buying refurbished Note 7 without knowing it. Some of you may say it's impossible lah. Those refurbished phone definitely won't come to Malaysia market lah, etc etc. Well, I won't dare to say it won't happen. The chance is there.
So far, most people around the world (mostly America & Europe countries) are prefering for refund rather than 1-1 exchange. They have lost their trust and confidence towards the latest Samsung Flagship. Anyway, there's 1 thing that we are very sure, that Note 7 will be the least profitable Samsung flagship phone in the history.

But to think again, the replaced phone would be more stringent in terms of quality control. Samsung could not afford to make the second mistake. The replaced phone might be more durable than usual.
What do you think?
You do have a point. However, in real world, how many people are willing to accept "2nd hand" (literally) phones? Even if you may not be able to notice it, but once you are acknowledged that you may have a chance to get a refurbished phone, you may still feel uncomfortable about it, no matter how good the phone is. Not to mention those people who have OCD. They will definitely can't accept this.
What I want to say is that, in the past, whenever a new Note came out, people would buy it without any hesitation. But now, people will think twice, or many many times before they buy it. I am not sure about the other potential buyers. But for me, yes. This incident does give me a lot of doubts.... For you guys who pre-ordered it, of course you will have to embrace it (like it or not) since you don't have much choices on this. But for the future buyers, it will be another story to tell....

2nd explosion case in Taiwan. The phone was exploded when the user was sleeping at night. The phone was not even explosded during charging. It was exploded in idle status. In short, it was suddenly self exploded!
So guys, beware. Even if you think that your phone is safe, or never have issue, touchwood blah blah blah. Who knows. One day it can self explode without any signs! If you got any spare phone, you better use it for now and put the Note 7 aside. It's not worth to gamble your life for this 3K phone. Not worth at all!
SME should start working their ass now! If not, the whole thing will get really ugly once the 1st explosion case happen in this bolehland.

So your life is only worth for 10x compensation? I would rather keep myself safe rather than risk myself for that 10x compensation. totally not worth it.
Nope, it never ask to return immediately and also issue a stop use immediately statements.
In other words, SME still don't know what to do. The other countries already took a step forward to told their consumers either refund, 1-1 exchange, or trade in to S7 Edge. Even the dateline was already given. While SME is still taking it slow....It's Tuesday now btw.
This whole incident once again remind us that it's a sad thing to be a consumer in Malaysia.
