If you're referring to Redmi Note 3 Mediatek variant, never. Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon are testing nougat based MIUI.

I'm referring to the Mi Note 4, running on the Mediatek chip. I assume that should be on the Nougat list too?

mtk variant..hardly. hence most of the time people will wait for snapdragon variant for these kind of cases.
