Fujifilm US starting to sell X-T1 body/kit with $400 discount, some stores there even include an additional 4% discount on top of it. If Fujifilm M'sia throws the same offers, it's quite worthy if wanna get a brand new X-T1 instead of a used one.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 11 2016, 12:14 AM) Don't need to test, just grab it away. If you think the X-T1 is not up to task for your current AF needs (ie. you want faster autofocus), faster frame/sec, Easier AF point selection....then X-T2 is what you need. IQ wise, there is only a slight perceptive increase in details/resolution if you view at 100% all the time. Otherwise it's still XTRAN IQ you should expect with the same short comings. You may look for kelvinling, not sure if his shop has test unit for you to play and try. I will not touch it at all so that I won't be poisoned. *Plays with my X-T1 at one corner* X-T2 is an overall speedier camera. |

QUOTE(barteria @ Oct 11 2016, 09:58 AM) A good read Some truth. But gears do make some shots stand out like fps, aperture, autofcus, and stabilizer. And ironically the author demonstrate dynamic range which is dependent on sensor tech. And if the smartphone camera is anything like iphone 1st gen, bet you image quality vs hardware comparison is still a thing. We Photographers Have Lost Our North, Stop the Endless Gear Debates, as written in PetaPixel. |

This are all subjective really with no right and wrong answer. Take the famous usain bolt smiling while running pic for example. There are two shots by different photographer, one sharp, the other slightly blurry. But media chose the blurry one cause bolt's running form is more dynamic. In another case, smartphone camera shots at low light still horrid unless u view at fb page or instagram, no matter how good ur composition are. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 11 2016, 10:57 AM) I was just joking la. In a multinational company that I once worked with, the policy is to skip 2 upgrades. I now have XT-1. Following that policy my next upgrade will be XT-4X-T1 still serves me very very well. |

My smartphone so far i skip 1 generation.... camera I lost track how many generations I skipped but feels like about time for upgrade.... price difference between xt2 vs x-t1 quite significant... so still reading and lurking around for feedbacks .... QUOTE(ahmadabhamid @ Oct 11 2016, 11:34 AM) |

QUOTE(Icehart @ Oct 11 2016, 03:49 PM) Ya true but they still cannot offer crop ability as much as modern big sensor cameras. Second this, one of the main reasons why I prefer taking out my X100 than my smartphone is the crop ability for post-process & posting online. Love how I can still have good image after cropping Facebook or IG is fine though. |
