QUOTE(woonsc @ Sep 29 2016, 09:55 AM) I wanna get a fuji camera so much, yet, What's your budget actually. Malaysia does not bring in THE e2s and A3 not launched yet. So, technically there's no way for us to identify if both these models fits your budget 😂i have such a small budget, cause still studying.. This is my 1st camera, I am split between E2s T10 and A3 Any opinions for beginners? |

QUOTE(woonsc @ Sep 29 2016, 11:41 AM) QUOTE(Like a Bause @ Sep 29 2016, 12:32 PM) with that budget u could find a pretty decent, even a second hand x-t1 I quite agree with what @Like a Bause has said. And I don't think the X-E2S will be coming in. It's been so long. your budget isn't small in that range.. You could consider a used X-T1 or perhaps a X-T10 |

QUOTE(Loseeker @ Sep 30 2016, 12:56 PM) If XT-2 came with fully articulated touchscreen, I'd be very tempted to switch. But at the moment, quite heavily invested in E mount. So, I can only hope and dream Sony will released a6300 successor with that. If XT-3 comes with a touchscreen, I might consider the jump Samyang 8mm fisheye available in fuji Mount heheBy the way, seems like you don't use telephoto much. If that is the case, I think your collection should be quite complete.....or perhaps a fisheye....but then again, not available in X mount.... |

QUOTE(sysy94 @ Oct 2 2016, 12:52 AM) Hey Fuji community! I'm a TOTAL beginner when it comes to cameras, had to get this off my chest So please bear with me, sifus! I've been thinking of getting a camera for some time now and after much research I stumbled upon Fuji cameras. It was love at first sight! I love traveling, so I want something light(bear in mind that this is coming from an Apple user) and easy to use, yet produces great image quality & bokeh. Saying this, I guess the obvious answer is X100T.....BUT I am worried that I might wanna take a closer shot of .....say, Mt. Fuji? Do the sifus think a fixed lens will be a problem for me in the near future? So my problem here is..... XT10(18-55mm lens) or X100T? Thanks in advance! QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 2 2016, 01:03 AM) Well, X-T10 will give you more flexibility as it is an interchangeable lens system. You can use your lens of choice. However, it will not be that light compared to X100T or I can suggest you X70. I agree with fruitie. As for the lens combo, you could also consider the 16-50mm kit or the twin kit lens for the X-T10. As I know, there are several forum users here that uses it. Let's hope more users will share their opinion for the X-T10. I suggested my friend to buy X70 and she loves every bit of it. Brought to Japan, Greece and NZ for her trips during these 6 months, though she cannot get used to fixed lens at the beginning but she told me it's more than enough for travel photography. I'm an X-T1 user and I'm already grateful that my current arsenal is far lighter than my previous Canon gears. Having said that, my advice to my customers is to ask themselves, do you really need that extra lens? Yes, it does seem to be very practical as you get that extra reach from 50mm onwards. But in actual life, changing lens can be a hassle especially in very dusty conditions and its not advisable to do so as well. To also answer your question on if it can be used to take a closer look of Mount fuji, my question is actually how close you want it to be. Where are you actually standing to take the photo? Other brands have cameras such as Nikon's P900 with gives you serious zoom capabilities but when you zoom in so much, keep in mind you seriously need a sturdy tripod or just a minor shake will affect the quality. But the trade off for getting the Nikon P900 is the extra bulky size of the camera. For now, I think the best option for you will be the following for fuji (from lowest price to highest: 1) X-A2 (interchangeable lens) 2) X70 (compact camera) 3) X-T10 with either one of the 3 kit lens option (interchangeable lens) 4) X100T (compact camera) |

QUOTE(sysy94 @ Oct 2 2016, 08:45 PM) Thanks to all the sifus for the helpful advice given! I now have a better idea of these cameras! Will think about my top priorities and then make a decision! You're welcome to ask any questions here if you need more help QUOTE(sitescope @ Oct 2 2016, 10:06 PM) No. The battery will not be charged if you turn it on. |

QUOTE(woonsc @ Oct 4 2016, 09:57 AM) QUOTE(barteria @ Oct 4 2016, 10:06 AM) I used and still have the X-M1, which is the same as X-A series. For me, the absence of VF only affect my shooting experience but if I look it on the bright side, it's totally good for being stealth when street shooting as you won't draw attention much and able to get that nice candid shots. As per said above. Some people over justify the need for absolute control. There usually comes a time when you will tell yourself, I'm feeling lazy but I need to take this photo. I'll just set this to auto. The only thing I like about the X-A2 is how light it is. I used the tilting screen to flip it for waist/chest level shooting and snap snap snap those candids as I walk and hunt for shots. |

QUOTE(barteria @ Oct 5 2016, 11:57 AM) Yeah, totally agree on all of that. If the price are the same or only hv a slight difference I would totally go for X-Pro2 bcs I don't really mind missing things from X-T2 that aren't present on X-Pro2. Haha you sure? Maybe the x-pro2 already used for some time. Close to end of warranty you still want?Unless...there's someone willing to swap his/her X-Pro2 body with my X-T2 body with no additional top-up |
