Anyone has bad experience with Tan Chong Nissan parts?

I drive Nissan Almera and I found mine spoils easily.

Absorber
My rear absorber give up at around 60K KM. Already start nyek nyek sound.

Front lower arm bush
Already torn at around 100K KM. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Front absorber link
Already worn out at around 100K KM. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Cooling coil
Leak at about 100K KM!

Rear lamp cluster
A motorbike just gentle knocks into it, already broken rclxub.gif I have kena knock before in MyVI and the lamp cluster is just scratched.

Front brake disc
Already showing signs of warping aroung 60K KM rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Wheel bearing
See forum, many kong in short time.

I have driven Kelisa, Saga BLM and MyVI with almost 180K KM and didn't spoil that fast.

I guess my next car won't be a Nissan from Tan Chong. I belive most of the parts I mentioned above is local Tan Chong fitting, some like absorber and cooling coil is actually made by Tan Chong APM. Such a disgrace to Nissan badge. No wonder Nissan brand in Malaysia is always third after Toyota and Honda.

Someone should alert Nissan Japan about this alarming quality failure.

Yeah that's the best thing. Outside parts is cheap. But tired of wasting time changing parts.

You just need to sought for the quality part and changed it.

I do agree that often times, it is a huge waste of time trying to change parts from time to time. But that's the way it is then.

Too bad, the wheel bearing is a sad case not only for you but others too.

May I know how long each set of wheel bearing of yours last?

After you changed, you still heard the "humming" sound when cruising over 90 kmph?

I'm keen to know then.

maybe u should start the trend of alarming Nissan Japan of this matter..? it will be a more effective action than posting here I guess... lol.... anyhow... newer cars resorted in lower quality parts in order to keep the cost down... those days old sentra can drive until now and still driving strong... time changes...

Honestly, all seem reasonable for me, except for lamp cluster and brake disc

though for lamp cluster, even if gently knock, still it depends if lamp was knocked by plastic parts or metallic handle, no knock is identical

shouldnt have high expectation for wheel bearing, road condition isnt being kind to our cars...

Check out Almera's wheel bearing issues. Failure between 20K km to 40K km.. if that is not alarming quality failure, I don't know what is anymore....

For disc brake to fail in less than 100K km also should be classified as alarming

Oh... my exhaust tip is now rattling like mad. Go to Nissan, need RM150 to replace the tip. I have never gotten any exhaust problem with my other car.

This tip.

I believe so for VIOS and CITY. No idea about CITY, but old VIOS (Dugong) hardly any issues at all till 210K km. And much cheaper to maintain than Almera.

wheel bearing issue among Almera is a hot topic. This you may able to call it quality issue.

The rest, i would say it's perfectly normal.

Yes, even for brake rotor. I'm on 3rd set of rotor and my millage is below 100k.

Cheers. These stuff are wear and tear part, they will need replacement periodically.
