Today went to AmBank. Changed True acct to link to BSA to avoid the yearly charge.

The manager showed me their current FD promo. 6 mth 3.7%, 9 mth 3.80%, min 50k. Their rate not that exciting as compared to other banks.

They have a clause for 375k to 499k, can get add'l 0.05%. For 500k upwards, can get add'l 0.1%. For 6 mths FD.

Anyway just to share info for AmBank loyal customers. 

For the HLB, maximum through FPX is only RM30k right? If wanna place more than that, have to do multiple times?

When u do the FPX xfer to HL for FD placement, it should be limited by the other banks daily xfer limit, right ? So if MBB's daily limit is 30k, u still can only do FPX xfer to HL from MBB for 30k in the same day ?

The FPX xfer has no charges ?

U have tried and was unable to exceed the limit ? Not sure if it is due to the bank as @chrisoth80 said he was able to do it.

Who would have thought of FPX daily limit is direffent from IGB/IBFT daily limit if you didn't share this info.

it takes about 20min for each transaction. you need to make exactly 7 transfer x 20min = 140min. This will be the amount of time you gotta spend. Mine is exactly 20min for each successful transaction

Saw Hong Leong MidValley branch beside Tim Hou Wan restaurant offer 5.18% with min 10k placement but must buy their insurance product dunno what type of ins.

Anyone dai gor can advise a bit what good about eFD?w/o paper just eStatement. Mach Hong Leong FD got 3.3%p.a. while Public Bank eFD only 3.1% p.a. Both also monthly min placement of 1k. Which one better? Or shall I really opt for Affin the highest 3.7% but any T&C?
I am newbie to FD. Was initially want go for OCBC360 but they need spend monthly 500 using their credit  card  and pay 3 biller online only entitled their 4.1% . Sucks man....

I understand that AMB, after some absence, is in with a short promo starting today for next 5 days. It's 3.8% for 7 months and 4% for 21 months but min. deposit is $100,000. I did not check personally but heard from somone so do check direct if interested

fd shifus, newbie like me have a question want to ask. I've just created a Public BANK EFD, my purpose creating efd is to save money and wait for low return, and i plan to add rm1k fund into my efd account every month, can it be done ha ? i've called customer service twice, 1 say yes another say no, im really confusingggggg. shifus pls help
