QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Sep 8 2016, 02:48 PM) Yeah SRR reduction done during beginning of this year, so would it possible to have another reduction...... look like along 2016/2017, FD rate will be ranging 3.5% to 4.5% for 12 month deposit.... Forget 4.5%.They don't exist anymore. The new high is 4.0-4.1%

QUOTE(yclai118 @ Sep 9 2016, 09:07 AM) today I uplift my GIA-i, why no interest added, only the principal that refund to me. isn't it calculate at the daily basis? any sifu can help?? No such thing. I just uplifted yesterday and still get interest. Check your account. Sometimes it's added (check your balance before uplifiting and see if got changes). Also sometimes it's added together with the prinicipal hence you don't see it. Easy to miss those rmx.xx if you don't look carefully. QUOTE(heavensea @ Sep 9 2016, 09:23 AM) Thanks bro, package2 = need to apply debit and credit card? Not wortht then, confirmed got charges... How about rhb bank 4%? (It's fresh fund for me, never use this bank before) Some say cc foc, so just apply for cc. Also their account is also foc

QUOTE(jojolicia @ Sep 15 2016, 01:29 PM) bbgoat, in blue, pls share what bigger things u anticipated. wealth sharing is the kind-est gift to share when x'mas is around the year end I suspect if there's another opr cut, unker goat will join me in amanah saham by moving money out from FD and park there. After all where can you find a stuff like FD (liquid type + prinicpal "protected" by buying and selling at Rm1 with "known returns" every year) Is that right bbgoat? Are you planning to move out some money from FD if matured and park in 3 of the amanah saham if OPR cut some more?

QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Sep 20 2016, 08:31 PM) still don;t understand what is this mean? Is it during above time frame, if we choose to deposit via internet banking to eFD with GIA option, we wil get 3.60% ?? The eGIA-i interest changes monthly. So the amount you get won't be fix.

QUOTE(drbone @ Sep 21 2016, 04:13 PM) Tried closing m2u savers and opening gia via m2u but unable to see that option. 😅 Go to M2Savers, there's a option on the bottom right where you can click to close. Last time took about 3 months just to close the account because maybank website have some bugs which they didn't fix. For placing eGIA-i, open your account > Fixed Deposits & Mudarabah IA > Make a placement > Select General Investment Account-i > Answer the "license agreement" for first placement only- make sure to select the one where principal and returns are not protected > Continue/Next. Hope that helps.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 21 2016, 09:48 PM) U dun have any sentimental value? Being sentimental doesn't earn you higher returns. If one is sentimental, can just lock in FD at lowest board rate banks.

For those who want to earn >4%. A little fight to see who's the best. Below is Maybank eGIA-i (save RM2k) + Maybank Ikhwan card (spending of RM1k/month) vs OCBC 360 full 4.1%(save RM2k) + any OCBC CC (spending of RM1k/month) - - - - - - - - - - - - - The reason for no CB is OCBC CB is particularly zero.
